Hafnia
I think he's on daft money at Chelsea. They were discussing it on talksport with sky Andrew. Even if he took a 50% pay cut it would be too much for most clubs. Looks like they didn't learn from winston Bogarde. I think he's training with the youth team for a reason, either his attitude stinks, or they are trying to force him to leave. Quinn31

I think he's training with the youth team for a reason, either his attitude stinks, or they are trying to force him to leave. Quite possibly both. Guess it depends if he already has another contract lined up somewhere or is even interested in getting another one. If he's actually looking for employment after this year then you'd think now would be the time to get back in the shop window, which is definitely something we can offer. We also have a half decent history of bringing in older players on short term deals, finding mutual benefit, and then shipping them on to a longer term contract elsewhere. My guess, if we have any interest in him at all it won't be revealed until the very end of the window as we'll look for younger longer term options first. Hafnia
Did a bit of research, Chelsea have got form for this type of stuff. They did it with anelka and Alex. Apparently the other players weren't happy about it. Shite club with no class.
Avinalaff
Isn't there a law that states any club loaning a player must pay at least 50% of his salary ? Malouda was shit hot a few seasons ago with loads of goals and loads of assists. Not sure what happened last season, or this, but if he came to us I'd be very happy. He is on a few quid though. http://www.salary-money.com/florent-malouda-salary-euro-200000.php

Avinalaff
He's also getting on a bit now though, so not much point as a long term investment. Edit : £80k p/w http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9523004/Florent-Malouda-left-to-train-with-the-Chelsea-Under-21s-after-exclusion-from-Champions-League-squad.html Edited January 18, 2013 by Avinalaff
c1982
Back on to Capoue (kind of) - surely Sissoko who we've watched a few times is a more likely target with him being a free agent in the summer and the club seemingly ready to cash in rather than loose him for nothing. Avinalaff
Agreed cut price deal with who? The guy snubbed us for Liverpool, and has started only 1 match with his current club. Avinalaff
My point was that we've been very much in the media spotlight recently, with everything that has gone on from our new badge, to Moyes leaving etc, not to mention the fact that he went to United, meaning we were related to much of their media coverage too, making the opportunity to include Everton's name in any article a beneficial one. Why would a few commentary games from the new manager make a difference when these two guys didn't? We miss many a trick, Landon was a big one IMO.
