Romey 1878
I'd be extremely surprised if this was true.
Crawford Wall
Would definitely take him, he's still a top quality player! But we're in dreamland if we think we can afford his wages.
Zoo
He won't move to another English club IMO, he'll go abroad to somewhere like LA Galaxy.
Lowensda
What Mark said. There's no way we offered him a three year contract on 150k....can you imagine the unrest within the dressing room that would have caused!? Someone (journalist) has forgotten that we're skint. LCAB said the package for him was/is £45k per week. For the record I'd have him but still think he'll end up at man.utd if Chelsea don't pull their finger out! Lowensda
So we were actually in for him? Jesus. Not surprised he never took a 2 3rd drop in his wages...
Avinalaff
He can't expect huge wages without huge performances. I'd have been a bit surprised if Moyes had gone for him. He has far more average days than special ones, and would bring little to our table. LCAB isn't 100% right all the time despite the GOT forum having this annoying itk worship fest. rubecula
This is lazy journalism of the worst kind. He is not likely to come here whether we offer him a contract or not, so saying he rejected a contract and will never come here is a pointless exercise and makes us look like mugs. Yes he could be another Phil Neville with a bit more playing nouse in midfield. But there are a lot of other old players out there if we want to go down that route again. Quality player at the end of his carreer and demanding high wages. Thanks but no thanks.
