Louis
Is he really worth that much? It feels like we are are bent over a barrel. SimonButtle and Quinn31
Guest rusty747
We are. Look at the way Spurs bought to replace Bale (and some) before they actually sold him. Bigger numbers but same principle. Only snag is we probably have to sell to get the money to buy so we were always over a barrel I am sorry to say. Not just short of money, but actually have to pay over the odds as well. Ain't fair but I can't see it changing anytime soon.

Shukes
My only worry with him, is why do we seem to be the only ones interested in him if he's the best of the rest? I can't really say I know enough of him to know if this is a good signing or not.

I can't really say I know enough of him to know if this is a good signing or not. That's not really much of an argument, is it? Why is Man United the only one interested in Fellaini if he's so good? Lowensda
If its 12.5, that'll be transfer value, I would thought. Outlay 6? Parachute payments of 4? 2.5 in add ons I reckon. Romey 1878

msloan78
I think Vic will want to stay an see if he can force his way into Martinez thoughts. Not had a chance yet because of injury. Couldn't see him going to Hull, never mind dropping straight down to the Championship.
Guest blueboy122
Not sure i would be happy spending this amount of money on this player. Personally 6-8 million max
Cornish Steve
My only worry with him, is why do we seem to be the only ones interested in him if he's the best of the rest? It's a valid question. I'd say there are two answers: 1) He has been considered by other teams. Indeed, he's been on ManU's radar in the event they could not get Fellaini. 2) He's wanted to rejoin RM since the latter joined the Everton team and, behind the scenes, I'm sure he's made his preferences clear. London Blue
I believe he will be a great signing as: 1) Young 2) Knows the RM system and we need someone in the midfield who is already used to the RM way 3) Used to playing with Gibson and Coleman through Ireland duties. 4) Wants to play for RM Quinn31

Don't misunderstand me, it's more because I don't have enough experience of the player to make my own opinion, so I'm going off these forums..... Which can be deadly haha! I'm worried but excited about this whole situation too, if that makes any sense at all.
Peter H
Transfer deadline day watch going mental in Sweden over McCarthy. 12.5 mil to Everton. Most also complaining over Moyes and that theres no way that Fellaini is worth 28 mil

By 11 we could all be very happy because we've kept hold of our players and added to the squad, or sold big and brought in good players with the money OR we could be all gutted because we sold late and didn't spend any of it. Romey 1878
Vinny O'Connor just said on SSN that we're wanting to sign McCarthy no matter happens with Fellaini. I doubt that though, and reckon they're saying that to try and keep the price for McCarthy down.
