Romey 1878
Definitely helped him that he was brought on to play right midfield. It meant he could just run and run and know Godfrey was behind him. Brilliant tactically by Ancelotti. StevO, Matt and badaids
badaids
I love the way he taps the ball forward and drives on to it, until he decides the moment to strike, pass or go for it. Nightmare for the other teams to deal with. He was brilliant last night really gave Spurs problems to deal with.
Bailey
I thought he was one of the most frustrating players on the pitch. Heart definitely in the right place but he was running around like a headless chicken most of the time. If he had just stopped running and looked up he might have found an easier pass. markjazzbassist

Palfy
He was immense when he came on he defended from the front at times, and kept Spurs in their own half which gave the defence a chance to have a breather and get back into shape. At 32 he is still showing some of the younger players the work rate required. Elston Gunnn, markjazzbassist and StevO

c1982
I think he can only start a game if Allan and Doucoure are in midfield. It seems more positive to have him and Digne as full-backs but watch tonight and against Newcastle - probably other examples too - we can’t play with the attacking full-backs unless we’ve got the organisation of Allan AND legs of Doucoure in midfield. I think we can get away with Coleman or Digne without this protection and it simply must be Digne. Tonight was so similar to the Newcastle defeat - which makes it so so hard to take as it shows that we didn’t learn from that performance. I get that everyone else loves it and it shows his heart but the number of times I was screaming at him to get his head up and he would have had an easy pass! That was the one time he did look up and he ran into space, not the cul-de-sac. If he had done that more we might have scored more! Just on that goal, the best thing he did on that goal was make the overlapping run behind Bernard. It just meant the defender couldn't close him down and then Bernard could link inside. Coleman was never going to do well in that fight even though he tried his best. Its obvious things like that that Carlo gets wrong that baffles me. Romey 1878
Coleman did more in his first two minutes of being on the pitch than Iwobi had in his entire outing. Coleman found space with ease, while Iwobi looked like he was trying to mark their defender. Coleman moved forward with the ball while Iwobi shuffled in field to lose it. Gwlad
Anyone think that Rafa will decide on a new captain? It was indicative he was talking leadership qualities after the Millonarios game. I love that Seamus is the epitome of a real Evertonian and all he has done for the club but maybe time to move on, go for someone younger?
