LexKing
Today scares me somewhat, so much so that despite being full of man flu, having a ton of college work to do and it pishing down outside, i am going to go out for the day as i cannot bare to stay in and watch/listen to the match in case we lose. And im pissed off, cause im gonna miss this game. First of the season(except league cup).

JoeQuince
I'm slow, and MikeO (with his amazing Ossie England shirt) beat me to the subs, and I didn't notice until now. Edited November 24, 2012 by JoeQuince
JoeQuince
I'm pretty pumped to see Oviedo start a match. Disappointed to see Gibson hasn't made the squad--hopefully this doesn't mean he's had a setback, but that Moyes just isn't rushing him back. And, minus Hibbo and Mucha, it's great to see how young our bench is. Gives me some hope for our future.

GoodisonRoad
Why no Coleman, Gibson or Mirallas? Injured We have a game midweek as well against Arsenal so they might be back for that and Moyes doesn't want to rush them Edited November 24, 2012 by GoodisonRoad

Steve_E
Not a good start so far. And it looks like Pienaar might have to come off.
Steve_E
1-0 Naismith! Great attack, though not bad defending from the right back. Hitzlsperger with the pass in behind for Oviedo who kept his calm for the pass. Edited November 24, 2012 by Steve_E

JoeQuince
Can the Naismith hate stop now? The guy just sneaks in and scores out of nowhere.
badaids
Does anyone know what the hell the tattoo on Heitinga's arm is all about? The one with the black rings.
Steve_E
Great linkup play from Pienaar here. Good save from Ruddy.
pete0
should have been 2. We look comfortable, strange coming accustomed to this new feeling as an Evertonian.

Fearthainn
I much prefer scoring early it has to be said, although things didn't turn out for the best last weekend. Come on lads, let's make it 2 this time.
GoodisonRoad
Sound like we've started very well but we need that second goal before i can feel comfortable about this, and i agree on Naismith as well, my old man keeps giving him stick and he's scored something like 3 in 6 i think? Steve_E
Unless you're a striker goals alone isn't enough. It isn't enough if you're a striker either imo. Though he has been playing well today and his off-ball movement has been definitely very good in most games so far. Really liking Oviedo too so far. pete0
Steve_E
Baines should have passed to Pienaar there, who had made a great run, rather than try and continue his run.
GoodisonRoad
Unless you're a striker goals alone isn't enough. Of course its not, but he's coming back from a really bad injury, adjusting to a much tougher league and a brand new team, surely the goals are only a good sign? I just think people have been too harsh on him personally..

Only other option is Gueye, and i'd rather help Naismith settle than play Gueye as i think its fairly evident he isnt good enough..
Steve_E
I think we haven't really figured out how to use Naismith best. I think he'd be much better suited to playing off the striker. From a wingmen you sort of expect him to create chances with the ball in his feet, but I don't think he has the trickery or pace to do that. But he seems to be at his best just moving into space and capitalising on chances created by others.
