Dalziel Kane
I had a go at this earlier today and scored 107 out of 114, (one missed out was a player who's name I could not spell correctly, you'll know it when you type or remember it) Had some fun with this, obviously helps if you're of a certain age to remember, but anyone is encouraged to try etc. Anyone who got over 100 score, well worth a mention. http://www.sporcle.com/games/KevinMillar3/FaCupFinalScorers
Dalziel Kane
One more to try And I got 72 out of 76 (should have had 73, but made a spelling error or it wouldn't recognize the answer) http://www.sporcle.com/games/happyjoe5/worldcuptop4
Fearthainn
Got 75/76 in the second one. Missed Chile coming 3rd in 1962 Didn't even attempt the first one tbh, I wouldn't guess half of them.
Dalziel Kane
Well I appreciate the participation above all else. Missed out on Czechoslovakia as I spelled it incorrectly and even Czech Republic as it now is, wasn't allowed. Just had a quick go on a further one (below), and got a perfect score of 57 out of 57 correct. And with over six minutes left to spare. Say if anyone can better that I would be mighty impressed. Just goes to show the old cliche about 'americans know nothing about soccer' is looking trite and outdated if nothing else This really is a fun game if you've never tried it http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/uefachampionsleague

MikeO
They expect somebody to figure out the answers, then write 72 football team names out, in 4 minutes? Ridiculous. If you're really getting the scores you say DK you should (think I've said this before) be applying for Mastermind. You'd be a dead cert. Fearthainn
They expect somebody to figure out the answers, then write 72 football team names out, in 4 minutes? It's not that hard, you write Brazil and it automatically fills in like 15 spaces Once you get the easy ones out of the way in the first minute you only have 7-8 left to think about. The CL one is tough, got stuck on Feyenoord the first time around and on Steaua the second time. Managed to complete it on my 3rd attempt. Dalziel Kane
Sporcle is great fun but some of the contributors who put the games together are bona fide fucking Idiots. For example, had to finish an extensive James Bond quiz in ten minutes when the absolute miniumum required was fifteen. And name all the capitals in the world in 90 seconds was another ? Fucking loons.. Fortunately they are only few and far between and generally there is some good games to get involved in. I feel a one off James Bond attempt tonight and I got all questions or screenshots correct with 4 - 45 in time to spare. Only genuine James Bond film fans will get all these. http://www.sporcle.com/games/EgsanBacon/james-bond-opening-credits-picture-quiz

I got 1 correct with 4:45 to go and gave up with 2 minutes to go after typing in every bond movie I know (about 6 lol) only for none of them to be right, yet they were all there when it showed the answers. Dalziel Kane
Here is the ultimate test I found an improvement on before, which is - How many countries of the world can you name in a set amount of time ? Time limit is 15 minutes and I got 109 countries found, out of 196. I thought maybe there could be room for improvement. Consider yourself well done if you get over 100 countries you can name. Anything less than 60, then maybe you'd better revise a little http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/world

Dalziel Kane
How could they have missed that. In any event, being quick, I had a go at 'name the runners up in all European Cup Finals since it's inception in 1955' and got 50 out of 54 (I indeed remembered 53, but couldn't quite spell all the full names, the game was being belligerently pedantic) Some real nasty teams to spell out in my defense If you can get over 50 on this, mighty fine work to whoever manages that, although five minutes may not be enough for some http://www.sporcle.com/games/pbysr/eclosers

Dalziel Kane
Got exactly 50. Missed Fiorentina, Frankfurt, Partizan and Atletico. I missed Fiorentina also. It was one of the beaten Madrid sides in the 1950s, and couldn't spell (Eintract) Frankfurt as they wanted it, and missed out Atletico Madrid from the 1970s. I knew Belgrade were the beaten finalists in 1966 and all other scores. If it wasn't for pedantic spelling I would have got a much better score. I usually get a wrong answer with Borrusia Monchengladbach answers, but weren't they beaten finalists to the shite in 1977. I knew it was them in any event. Dalziel Kane
Just one more to keep this moving and if anyone's at a loose end etc I got all correct, that is 39 out of 39 and with more than eight minutes in change to spare. These are some good tests sometimes. http://www.sporcle.com/games/Cestrian/this-is-for-the-underdogs

Dalziel Kane
Maybe you should stick to those impressive art designs. Like someone once said 'They're only easy if you know the answers' Incidentally if anyone bothers to read, I was looking for a specific game where you had a map of the British Isles and had to put flags on the locations of all the club stadia it asked, in a certain time, always did well in that but I looked high and low but couldn't find the fucking thing and after a while just lost any patience. It had a specific name, i.e. put flags to indicate the location of grounds in the UK (on a map) Someone maybe played it at some time. In any event, last one for now and I got all correct, that was 50 out of 50 and with 9 - 52 left in time (had trouble with a specific ground spelling) If anyone can seriously complete this with more than 10 minutes to spare that would be a mighty fine achievement. http://www.sporcle.com/games/cant0na/premier_league_stadia

Dalziel Kane
89, 026 points for Level One They wanted Saint James Park, Exeter - and I put Newcastle damn it. Dalziel Kane
Went one better and got 100,312 score 'Your traveler IQ is 101' Doesn't help with new stadiums that you never can quite remember, but pleased enough with that. Dalziel Kane
I got no defense, but tried a couple of those answer games just now, and scored, 22 out of 22, with 1 - 56 remaining on this - http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/worldcup_hosts and, 19 out of 24 on the other, with time expired. Never did work well against the clock http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/worldcupsquad_england1990
