PaulieMc94
Does anyone have that Fellaini pic of him standing in the middle of a battlefield hoisting the Everton flag? I remember seeing it last year but now I can't find it anywhere.
Dalziel Kane
Wasn't the battle of Waterloo was it? I know a few Belgians were involved.. Hope it's only a minor knock and he can participate in the derby game in time. We can't afford to be without players of his caliber.
PaulieMc94
I think it was yeah, do you know where I can find that pic? I want it for my Facebook cover photo

Lowensda
This just lines us up for a spanking against the shite and I can already hear the sarcastic "can we play you every week?" chants in work. They'll have lost nearly all of their games and come away from the derby all bright eyed and full on points.
GoodisonRoad
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/10/10/fellaini-out-of-qualifiers Confirmed by the club, but they wont say how long he is out for just yet.. c1982
Avinalaff
It's not that big a deal for a few weeks. Of the games he's played in, he's been great in 2 or 3 and pretty average in the others. The only worry for me is the possibility that when Fellaini plays badly, the team play badly, so not being able to rely on him could be beneficial in it's own way. Droobie
It's a blow for sure... Maybe it's a bit of mind games happening; they rest him now and he'll suddenly be available against the RS?! Lowensda

Hope so Droobie, I thought we were going to play that card after the Fellaini and Kyriagos fiasco a couple of years back, unfortunately, Fellaini was worse off and missed the second half of the season
Bailey
Even when Felli is playing bad he is still one of the better players on the team, which generally shows how important he is to us. Its something we have to work around though and we have enough players that can make an impact in that position. As long as Gibson is back sooner rather than later, I think we will be ok. Kohen
I don't understand if he was injured in the Wigan game why he was allowed to go and meet up with his national team?
Blue 250
I could see the rs bleating every time Fellaini made a tackle, let's beat the tossers without him. Gibson back would be nice. They WILL raise their game against us as usual..........it's such a big game for them!
Mirallas
I don't understand if he was injured in the Wigan game why he was allowed to go and meet up with his national team? National teams are higher in hierarchy than clubs. Clubs have nothing to say in the decisions of national teams. If a player is called up, club managers can only go home crying to mommy. If they choose to disrespect that, FIFA will take sanctions.
ForevertonZA
He is not very constant, he has a great game and then he has 2 average games. I agree that he is better then most of the players on the bench but we can survive without him

Errm, I think Kohen meant if Fellaini was injured in the game against Wigan, why would he then go out to the national team knowing full well he wont be playing, because he is injured? which is personally the reason i think it might be a bit of a bluff, because Belgium can probably beat Scotland and serbia without him. pete0
If he's having a bad game, we only have to move him back in midfield where he is the boss.
Steve_E
I don't understand if he was injured in the Wigan game why he was allowed to go and meet up with his national team? Clubs have to let go off players on FIFA dates, otherwise they can be fined, even when they claim they are injured. Now Belgium's medical staff have had the opportunity to inspect his injury themselves.

Clubs can over rule a call to country? Well, not over rule but generally national teams will respect the clubs wishes Edited October 10, 2012 by Peter H
GoodisonRoad
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/10/10/fellaini-latest Bit of a twist... He's now returned to FF, after the Belgian F.A said he would remain in Belgium and the club now referring to it as a "knock".
Dalziel Kane
Seems it was a false alarm or over exaggeration or something. Seems able now to participate in the upcoming derby game then. What I mean is the above response tells now it was a knock and we were led to believe it was something more serious as first reading of news. pete0
Lol we tried that against WBA , Leeds and Wigan and he was most definately not the boss! The team and himself played better in all 3 of them games once he was moved. No coincidence it's the games were the ref has gave him no protection. He ran the middle in the Wigan game, it was when he was off the striker he was crap. WBA he moved back late in the game and was awful, and I have tried to erase my memory of the Leeds game!
