Bailey
Oh for Gods sake... Heitinga actually does everything right. He slows him down, gets a challenge in which just happens to break back to Kone on the byline who cuts it back to Di Santo who arrives in the box completely unmarked, with no one near him. Jags does all he can to try and get a block in but its not enough. Someone should have tracked him from midfield but not for the first time year, no one has. Zoo
Keep calm everyone, let's just look at this in footballing terms. Wigan are wank and so long as Moyes gives them a bollocking at half-time (which he will do) we will have this game under control come 90 minutes. There's no need to panic yet, we have more than enough resources up front to kill Wigan off, it's just a shame that we're doing it the hard way. Bailey
This but Heits should have done better, and Jags is the man who should have been marking Di Santo. What else is he really meant to do? He gets a foot in, but it unfortunately breaks back to the Wigan player. He then isnt close enough to him, but again that was because of the way the ball broke. Jagielka was never the man to be marking Di Santo. One of the midfielders should have been tracking his run as it came from deep. Heitinga didnt do as well there though from a similar situation with Kone, gave him way too much room. We are applying better pressure there. Felli and Osman were pressing alongside each other, leaving Neville to sweep up behind. Thats how it should be imo.
JoeQuince
Coleman looks completely unable to track the ball today. Absolutely shitty.
badaids
We're playing similarly to against southampton except our passing is not as good, wigan are putting the boot in and we are defending very badly. still hopeful we can turn this round.... pete0
Heitinga done what I'd expect an average defender to do, I expect better of him. Jags was in no mans land, Di Santo is Wigan's only striker on the pitch one of our defenders should be picking him up. Felli elbow, what an idiot, been coming all game. Blue 250
Well we're not getting the breaks..........maybe that will change. Wigan winding up Fellaini.....and he's not the best at keeping cool!
Avinalaff
Might need to take Felli off here. SimonButtle
JoeQuince
Am I the only one that thinks the uproar over the Fellaini elbow was a little much? If he wanted to do damage, he would have really thrown it out. Looked like he was just trying to keep him back.
badaids
wigan are much sharper than us, they always get to the ball first. need to wake up.
Zoo
I'm still confident about this game, we've just hit the post and like I've said before we've got more than enough skill to out-do Wigan. The half-time break will allow Moyes to give out new tactics so that we can combat Wigan's and the goals will surely come. A little optemism is all that's needed. mcirony
As dodgy as our our defence has been, I'm pretty sure we can get a goal back as Wigan are as leaky as us!! COYB, I reckon Mirallas will smash one in from 20 yards.

pete0
We need to stop giving possession away so easily, and get Mirallas on the ball to open them up.

Steve_E
At 2-1 down you want to take off our best player? He hasn't been our best player today though. More like a liability, and if he gets himself sent off we have no chance.

Thats fair, but he did what a defender should do and as far as blame goes, he did what the defending textbook would say. There are other players in and around the box. Neville was ball watching marking no-one on the corner of the 6 yard box and someone else is at the edge of the area but I cant work out who it is. If Di Santo is 10yards further up the pitch, he is Jagielka's man but he isnt. He is arriving from the edge of the box and someone else should be there helping the defenders out. Felli needs to get a grip tbh... Valguard and pete0
chicagoblue
Mirallas and Coleman just not as strong defensively yet as we're used to having on the right side. Need to keep the pressure on Wigan and keep them from catching us on the break. Need to keep Fellaini on though, can't afford to bring him off. Would like to see us try to get Mirallas more involved, he was quiet in the first half and that's allowing Wigan to overload on Fellaini and the boys on the left.
