Lowensda
He has, always does for Ireland - why doesn't it happen for him at club level?! It was always going to be an uninspiring England performance with that line-up - very poor! With a Liverpool midfield too....Henderson, lallana, Sterling, Milner. c1982
Henderson should be sitting behind Barkley and Wiltshire with a front 3 of Walcott, Sterling and Rooney for the qualifier - at least then there's the potential of something happening. I'd be gutted if I was Clynne or even Trippier watching Jones at rb... He didn't do anything wrong but it's not a progressive decision - it's as if we've set-up for a draw in a friendly. Nothing learnt today!
MikeO
BBC deliberate mistake number 1,024:- "Into the final 10 minutes and England are pressing the Republic of Ireland defence a bit now. Andros Townsend spots a gap on the edge of the area and shoots low, Shay Given gets down but can only push the ball out wide towards Seamus Coleman, who crosses towards the far post for Ross Barkley but he is beaten to the ball by a defender." Maybe Seamus just forgot who he was playing for, spotted Ross and instinct kicked in?
Romey 1878
Seamus does seem thick enough to do that tbh.
Romey 1878
What the fuck is Hodgson injecting these days? First he starts Jones ahead of Clyne at RB, then at half time he takes Jones off and plays Henderson at RB.
Lowensda
Ahaha HOdgson is a donkey. No point having all these technically sound players when you've got someone who still uses an abecus to show his starting formation. The team is dreadful. There's not one person I think the opposition should be afraid of.
Lowensda
And what's happened to Rooney? He's been pretty poor for the last few years but he looks a shadow of himself.

Stupid thing is, if/when Clynne moves to Man U or Liverpoo, you can put money on him being a guaranteed starter for England regardless of form. Guaranteed. You only have to look at Gibbs starting ahead of Bertrand to see that in practice.
c1982
Sterling almost cost the shite £50m (in Kopite currency) then. Looked horrible but seems okay. Edited June 14, 2015 by c1982

Spot on. It's absolutely pathetic the way players get overlooked despite being the best option then as soon as they get a transfer to the sky 5 then they become regulars. MikeO
David Gold at West Ham talking crap... "We are hoping West Ham will be in a position very soon to worry the top five and have them saying: 'Who are these upstarts? Who do they think they are?' "As far as challenging these great clubs, it's very very hard. Southampton challenged last season, and there's absolutely no reason why West Ham can't emulate them. "There is a big difference between realism and hope. Realistically, in the next five years we would expect to be knocking on the door of Europe, whether that's by finishing seventh or eighth or by winning the FA Cup or reaching the final. "The longer-term aim is we want to frighten the big boys of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. We want the Big Five to be looking over their shoulders." I blame his age for short term memory loss (ie season before last), and his lack of insight on his pornographic enterprises, bound to make him a little limited in the sight department..
