Zoo
Knew someone was going to ask that! The Texaco Cup was a competition that involves teams from England, Scotland and Ireland who had not qualified for Europe that season. It ran for five years and produced four winners. Zoo
It ran from 1971 until 1975 until it was re-named the Anglo-Scottish Cup (although that only lasted a year). and no answers have been right so far

MikeO
Really difficult to remember who'd have been around the places just below Euro qualification because, unlike now, every season was different and you never really knew who the top five, six, seven would be at any time. So I'll try.... Wolves, Derby, Man City, Stoke.

pete0
Newcastle United was the last answer, they won it in 1974 & 1975. Thought they hadn't won anything (not including promotion) since the 50's. Surprised their fans aren't still singing about it. marcopaulo
