SimonButtle
Its good to see Hibbo will get his moment he deserves it, but he kinda sums the Moyes era at Everton up for me, 'hard working but with limited ability'
Matt
Good for him, well deserved! Out of curiosity, who was the last player at Everton to get a testimonial? Edited January 19, 2012 by Matt
Lowensda
Was it Weir?
Romey 1878
Was it Weir? Surely we didn't have him for 10 years?!
Lowensda
Surely we didn't have him for 10 years?! I meant Stubbs, but i don't think he had one either?
Lowensda
Kendall had one - http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/kendall-to-get-testimonial.html http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/blues-announce-kendall-testimonial.html
Zoo
Surely we didn't have him for 10 years?! We had David Weir for seven years between 1999 and 2007 before he left for Glasgow Rangers. I'm unsure who the last person to have a testimonial at our club would be because I'm sure that Hibbert is amongst one of the few players that Moyes has kept since he took over, pretty much the squad he recieved from Walter Smith has been totally re-jigged so I think you'd have to go back quite a few years to find out who the last person was to have a testimonial. Well done to Hibbert though, surely he gets penalty duties!
duncanmckenzieismagic
Kendall had one - http://www.evertonfc...estimonial.html http://www.evertonfc...estimonial.html Pretty sure that was the last one The last player I can remeber having one was Davey Unsworth
Lowensda
even if he does score in the testimonial, would it have the same impact, given that the goals should only really count if they're Prem goals?
MikeO
even if he does score in the testimonial, would it have the same impact, given that the goals should only really count if they're Prem goals? It'd be a pantomime riot...but still a lot of fun .

Lowensda
Before the testimonial, we must allow Hibbert to take penalty duties! MUST. I don't care if we drop 2-3 points, 10 years service is due that

johny
steve nichol was given the obligitory peno in his testimonial for us....and stuck it wide. he could've hit the tamest pass back ever and the keeper would've just dived over it, but chose to make sure and place it just inside... ...the corner flag.
