Even if it was just to have a morale boost, think it would be great for him to come back for a short period Would give him a chance to say good bye too
pete0
If he wants to train in Europe in the winter it makes sense for him to come here. Hopefully we'll get Millwall in the Fa cup.

Dalziel Kane
I was never aware of that site. 'Feeling Blue', may have a look sometime. Good for Cahill getting a score on his debut with NY. Really pleased for the kid.

MikeO
Nice little story at the start of this.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/22888155 Looks like the sort of Evertonian I'd want next to me if there was crowd trouble . rubecula
Dalziel Kane
Scruffy looking individual though. Don't always have time for those who don't put a bit of pride in their appearance. Hard to believe sometimes that Cahill is 33 years of age. Even then, still capable and if Australia get to Brazil next year, they could surprise one or two people. thoward18
For what it's worth to you guys, Timmy is quickly becoming a fan favorite here in New York. He's been our best midfielder by a longshot and has scored some crucial goals. Plus the corner flag celebration is alive and well. He's been our best midfielder by a longshot and has scored some crucial goals. Plus the corner flag celebration is alive and well. Good to hear. He wasn't good enough to still be playing for us but he was still a fan favourite. It's good to know that he's doing well in New York. thoward18
MLS did a really great mini-documentary type of thing on Timmy. Easy to see why everyone loves him. http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2013/06/21/tim-cahills-soccer-journey-australia-nyc-mls-insider-episode-

Dalziel Kane
I could never play soccer with bare feet. Think of the grass hazards, and has to take a strain without the protection of suitable footwear. Beach play is different obviously with sand, not grass, but still not without it's dangers. You never know what you're leaving yourself open to. Seem to be playing without a designated goalkeeper also. Just strike at an empty net. Never understood the appeal of that but will let it go. Dalziel Kane
Eh. What's so amusing Maybe the goalkeeper was out of shot, don't see the humor in it. If you're going to have a kick-around at any level, at least play the game properly. Zoo

Romey 1878
Great article, brilliant player, the bargain of the century. Thanks Mark. I think we probably kept hold of him a year too long, but he's been one of my favourite ever Everton players. It's just a shame he couldn't have won something with us. nyblue23 and Lowensda
Quinn31
This somehow went untalked about on this forum I believe- Cahill left Melbourne City in early December - has yet to sign with a new club. Looks desperate to go to the World Cup.
