Sibdane
I'm not sure how possible this is, or if this has already been mentioned... but how possible would it be to make an Iphone/blackberry app for TT? I think you could charge .99 to 1.99? I know it would take some programming, but I think it would be a great way to bring some revenue to TT. Just a thought. Louis
You can use this : http://itunes.apple....d372597645?mt=8 or something called TapaTalk - http://itunes.apple....d307880732?mt=8 I'm not a expert though, I don't have a 'smartphone'. What I've posted above is pretty much all I know. I think StevO has it on his iPhone, I don't know the details...
StevO
yeah i use the iphone app (IPB) its great. if you want to preview how it looks, scroll to the bottom of this page now, click on change theme and select mobile. thats how the app looks and works
Avinalaff
Does he mean an actual 'app' that is a dedicated Toffeetalk App that would be designed and sold?
Louis
There probably will be one in the future.
Peter H
It would have to be on several platforms. Blackberry, ios, windows and Android to start with. If anyone can do it and do it for free then it would be great, id buy both the BB and the ios one straight away. But im not sure that TT would make a profit if you have to pay for a developer to create the apps. (or the apps would have to cost too much) Edited December 14, 2011 by Peter H
StevO
There probably will be one in the future. Its not worth making a dedicated one Louis, IP made their app so you dont have to. Its more than good enough.
Louis
I think you're right Steve.. I've just noticed it is $250 + $100 annual for the upkeep of the app. The link I gave for IPB app is for US iTunes store. I can't find the one on the UK store. Do you have the link? Peter H
Its not worth making a dedicated one Louis, IP made their app so you dont have to. Its more than good enough. I agree with this, there are apps out there that you can connect to several forums, and I dont think TT has enough Klout to get enough downloads to make it worth it. Peter H
38% of phones in Sweden are Smartphones 25% in the UK 40% in the US 6,2% of smartphone users scan QR codes, so I decided to make one for ToffeeTalk. Scan this with your smartphone and go directly to toffetalk.com http://qrcode.kaywa.com/img.php?s=8&d=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.toffeetalk.com Hm, tried to add the image directly to the forum, but "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" you will have to go to the url above to see it, copy it and spread it around. Peter H
Matt, money is no excuse for not having a smartphone these days. Clever chaps in Taiwan have created the TWM T1 smartphone which is available for NT$8,990 (US$280) with a no service contract. (choose your own operator) http://www.macworld.co.uk/digitallifestyle/news/?newsid=28814&pagtype=allchandate

If they are coming down in price that much i might think about it!
Louis
You can get one for under £50 in Carphone Warehouse but it comes on 3. The reason I never bothered with one is battery life. Who wants to charge a phone everyday ? Pete - http://www.toffeetal...eetalk-qr-code/ (Thanks, but I have no idea what to do with it?) Print it in its thousands, scatter all around town, people will find it, scan it with their qr reader on their phone and it will automatically take them to toffeetalk. Post it on other everton forums, twitter etc Have it in your email signature Etc etc Peeps get curious if they see it without explanation.
