StevO
Bit suspect that don't you think? yep, i do. but if they did get him, us westerners have to be civilised dont we? id rather they caught him under the bush administraion. George W would have had his body at Cowboy Stadium, confederate flag around his shoulders, massive cowbow hat, using the bullet hole as part of a beer bong. or it might just be all lies. there was a great dispatches programme about how they did it though, was very interesting. Avinalaff
Was the guy really that bad? I always think America is the worlds biggest nut house, and the one we all have to be weary of, as opposed to these so called Bad guys. Avinalaff
so called bad guys? he killed hundreds of thousands of his own people. so, erm, yeah, defo a bad guy. Where did you get that from mate? I've not seen a concise biography of him anywhere that didn't seem like rumour. Is there any factual evidence? Only a few months ago was there an investigation, so it must have been kept very quiet if he did. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12636798 I've no opinion on the guy at all and not defending him, or his death. Just curious as to how all these crimes can go unnoticed if they were true. There are many people in the world who say it was all a conspiracy, and he is innocent, and many who say he is guilty. I don't see evidence from either side to be honest.

StevO
well even in recent months HIS ARMY we sent to the streets to kill people in opposition to him. people have been shot by his men, on his orders for trying to get rid of him. he publicly stated the army had his approval to rape women, even issued with viagra, to keep the men from protesting to his rule. and that isnt rumour, conjecture or anything made up. this was his message released to the media and aired to his people. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/29/diplomat-gaddafi-troops-viagra-mass-rape what evidence do you want? there are no youtube clips of him ordering murders, there is no sky tv footage of him shooting people, there are plenty of people in Libya who have suffered at the hands of this man. If he wasnt a bad man they wouldnt have celebrated his death the way they have. a man in charge of an army takes over a country, does not hold any election, but rules with the threat of death to anyone who opposes him. this man is indefensible, death is too good for his kind. Louis
I read an account saying that the average wage of a Gaddafi employee was £20k a year and they were given free oil. No wonder he had people loyal to him.
