FanchesterCity
I don't think you can really measure it - like saying "who loves their kids the most" Although - that said... in SOME ways, Liverpool - United has some justification. Everton Liverpool is interesting, partly due to proximity of the grounds, and the likelihood that the same family have supporters for each side (but that's true of United and City too). Rangers and Celtic is a bit less likely for obvious reasons, but it does still happen (sadly not Premier League) City and United has dwindled over the decades (more for United than City). - City simply haven't been able to compete, so City have got more from a derby than United No love lost with Arsenal and Spurs either - also quite close to each other. I'm going to say I feel Northem rivalry is greater - but that's probably biased! Edited October 1, 2011 by BlueSky
Paul 1300
Obviously I am Biased but in England the Scum Tottenham rivalry is one of the fiercest as it isn't just based on proximity of the clubs, basically it started when a fella called Norriss bought Woolwich Arsenal that were based south of the river in Woolwich,(which is we refer to them as the Woolwich Nomads) and they moved to Islington which is about 3 miles away from WHL, and he greased a few palms in the league and Spurs were relegated from what ever division they were in, to be replaced by Arsenal and that was the start of an intense rivalry, I am sure the gooners will have a different side to the story, there was also the tradition of Arsenal playing a more aggressive robust style that was very defensive and Spurs were more cultured and attacking in nature. The trouble with london clubs is that there are derbys all the time West ham-Millwall is quite intense, Chelsea also hate Tottenham and West ham although their traditional rivals are QPR. Norwich V Ipswich is quite Fierce I have been to a couple of east anglian Derbies and they are definitely not friendly. I have always been of the opinion that the merseyside derby as being friendly Edited October 1, 2011 by Paul 1300
Avinalaff
Why ask on an Everton forum, on the day of a derby, what the biggest derby is? Most pointless first post I've ever read to be honest.

Redside
Merseyside by far, like i said in the match thread there is not many derbies like it. It has tackles flying in every where its played at full throttle all game and there are moments of greatness and madness. Of course it's not right, people make up bollocks about football every 6 seconds. Charlie Adam for Blackpool last season was the latest, I think.
