SimonButtle
Maybe we should just have a team of Nevilles - don't try and beat a man, don't get shots on target, dont fizz crosses in (ironically his twitter name is fizzer?), but can put the odd crunching tackle in, hoof balls clear, point and shout.... If nurtured Drenthe can be a world beater... he is a potential match winner - frustrating but exciting, if we had a squad like Man city then yeah - we can afford to be critical but we don't, we have too many technically limited players to be picky. This really, he has it all there to be top class if he pulls his finger out, dare i suggest that Moyes may not be the guy to do it though?(look i will be in trouble now) Thing is, i actually want him to become a decent player for us, im just not convinced thats all. In all honesty, if Moyes had Messi he would have him playing with an element of caution in his game.
Aidan
why are we still slaggin moyes off for all his faults hes still the best manager we can have at the moment,he has said himself when he feels hes lost the fans and he cant do it anymore he will walk.so lets hope we can win the f a cup,and he gets some investment. Moyes' is a credit to the club and will go down as one of the greatest Everton managers, regardless of how many trophies he's won us. I have the utmost respect for him. We?! Please don't tarnish us all with that brush... thankfully it's the vast minority who are 'Moyes-bashers'. Coincidentally these are generally the same people as the Neville, Kenwright, Cahill, Saha, Elstone, Round etc... bashers! Each to their own - I respect and support what Moyes has done and is continuing to do for our club.
Dalziel Kane
I have no issue with Moyes as an individual but there have been times in the past few seasons where Moyes has had me punching holes in the nearest wall, no need to elaborate on actual reasons, doubtless people will get the picture. It's merely going over old ground here but Moyes has had nearly ten years now and has yet to win anything, plain simple fact. Ok fair enough we haven't had the financial backing or resources others have taken opportunity of and I won't be drawn into another arguement about how only big rich outfits seem to find success anymore, simply put Moyes has had some genuine opportunities to go further than we could in Cup tourneys and it all went to pieces. I can't fault the man with regards to league progress since his arrival, some very commendable finishes including a European Cup berth a few years ago but let's remind ourselves of the other poor seasons we have seen since his arrival. There has been real times the last year or two that I sincerely wanted Moyes gone, of course there will be the usual, 'well who can we have as a replacement' and 'Moyes is the best thing we can do right now', but sometimes one cannot look past the fact that having Mr Moyes as manager is only going on a downward spiral. I felt genuine concern sometimes at some of his decisions regarding match days and this has been echoed on various Blue related sites at least with this season, Yes we've done well this season, at least with the FA cup and things have picked up after some recent poor displays but it wasn't too long ago that Mr Moyes was getting every colorful insult (along with Kenwright more often than not) under the sun in his general direction, too many times to mention, we're all aware of some of the lame and sub standard performances this season, the inability to even get a result over inferior opposition particularly at Goodison stadium. Not really a case of slag off Moyes, just pointing out facts and there's been some level of unhappiness with the man as team manager too often. I would really like to see the team win this FA cup this year, not just for the club, not just something after 17 empty years, but also for Moyes to mark his 10th anniversary in charge with an actual trophy, it would be quite fitting after a decade at the wheel and to maybe give something back to supporters and to componsate for all those one way streets and disappointing seasons and expectations. The next few weeks are very important for both Moyes and the club as a whole
Hafnia
So... when we appraise Drenthe we do it by stripping down his pro's and cons... albeit those identified in less than 1 season where he has contributed assists, entertainment and goals. Some come to the opinion that he isn't good enough... has the ability to be great but makes odd decsions - fair enough it may be a valid opinion. However in Moyes - who over 10 seasons has provided us with stability and in my opinion done a good job can not be pulled up for the continued puzzling team selections, stagnant formation, negative tactics, crazy substitutions etc which hold him back from being a great manager... Moyes is paid a fortune to manage our team - let's not confuse him with being a charity worker
Louis
So.. should he stay or should he go?
Romey 1878
Go. We don't have the money to buy him just because he puts a shift in.
Steve_E
Not good enough for me. Excellent effort though, especially against City.

c1982
Go - for what we may pay in fees I'd rather focus that on trying to get Rodellega in on a free. He's not been the best this season but he does possess class and Moyes has often got the best out of 'under performers' (okay not always strikers!) MikeO
Go, Tigre want something like £5m for him, out of our price range. Far too much...if he was free then maybe (presumably his wages are quite low) but not if he's going to cost us. Shame because I like him.....what's not to like (other than no great footballing ability)?.
pete0
As every one has said, good worker but sadly lacks ability. He's a Moyes player but not an Everton player(hope that makes sense). Think Wigan could do with him though or Norwich if they lose Holt. Edited May 13, 2012 by pete0
SimonButtle
I think in an Allardyce esq Bolton team he would do quite well.

He gave us everything always, and that's the type of mentality that every Everton player needs to have (A lot of them do). But he's just not good enough, and I'd REALLY like to see Vellios more next season. I think he has real potential. I also heard a rumor that Baxter is going to be offered a new, two-year deal, which if its true, shows that he has SOME potential at the least. Peter H
Like him, would like him to stay but there are more important holes to fill. (read Natalie Portman) Pienaar should be our main target for this summer. Vellios is good enough cover for Jelavic. (We also have Silva and Ani) I say go. (sad to see it tho)

jofanon
We have backup players that lead the line (albeit no where as good as Jelly). However we need to replace Cahill, buy Peanuts, a backup left back and a right winger. Hmmm not too hopefull about of that! £20-25m and we could have an excellent squad. SimonButtle
Silva has been at he club for a few years and not broken through, so i can see the sense in him leaving, i know little about him other than he has ability but he is very inconsistent. Zoo
Interview/open letter fresh today with Big Denis, I have to say I have so much respect for the man and only wish he could have cut it in England and been in our team for many years. Denis Stracqualursi says playing at Goodison Park was a ‘beautiful dream’ and that he was truly humbled by the support he received. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/09/04/stracqualursi-s-beautiful-dream-
