Guest
Fucking brilliant. Chelsea and Arse at home is where we would need his runs. That is a position we needed strengthening anyway. I cant watch Osman there for the next 6 weeks. We need to get the cheque book out
Lowensda
It'll be a loan I'm guessing.
MC11
Naismith needs to play in the hole! Matt and StevO
MC11
I'll be surprised if it's only 6 weeks. Martinez tends to speak very optimistically about injuries (and everything else!). If it's a soft tissue injury and he says 6 weeks expect 12.
Paddock
Naismith needs to play in the hole! Yes 100% this.
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
Before a ball has been kicked this season i allready hate football!! How ever long everton say an injury is going to last times that by three. He loves the big games and plays his best in them and now he is goong to miss them all! London Blue
Naismith needs to play in the hole! He has the brains to know when to run and where to run to. He will link up well with Rom. Must get a second striker on loan, and if we were ever going to get a replacement for Osie, ie Cleverly then now is the time.

Toffee_in_LA
Pretty damn gutted about this at the moment. I really hope that RM decides to give Pienaar a strong look at Ross' position alongside Naismith and dare I say, Besic?
Brett Angel
cone on lads. still got a realky strong side. hope its quicker than expected. good luck in his recovery. the bright side is, it will be like weve got a new signing end of october.....COYB. markjazzbassist
JoeQuince
I think we should either go 4-3-3 with a midfield of Besic-Barry-McCarthy or do our favored 4-2-1-3, keeping Barry-McCarthy and putting Pienaar in the Barkley role. This sucks. The one position we really needed to strengthen, and we are exposed for our lack of depth before we even kick a ball. We can still pummel them tomorrow. NYBlue
I just clicked on the news and saw this…gutted. Have my Barkley shirt ready for tomorrow as well.
MC11
We should stick to the same formation! Naismith plays in Barkleys position. Won't hold my breath though.... Osman
StevO
Might surprise us and put Pienaar in there with Atsu on the left. Doubt it though. Matt
Toffee_in_LA
Might surprise us and put Pienaar in there with Atsu on the left. Doubt it though. Absolutely this. Pienaar has the capacity to own the CAM position and Atsu as a leftie should be able to thrive on the left.
StevO
I'd be quite happy with Atsu Pienaar McGeady with Naismith in front of them. They would certainly work the Leicester defence.
JoeQuince
Are we certain there will be no Mirallas or Lukaku tomorrow, as well?
NYBlue
I'd be surprised to see them both start, maybe 1 of them but nothing has been said.
duncanmckenzieismagic
Mirallas has to play behind Lukaku for me Steve_E

Quinn31
I know this is unlikely, but would love to see us go 3-5-2/3-5-1-1/5-3-2 tomorrow given the injuries to Ross, Mirallas. Having Stones, Distin, and Jags at the back would leave us solid in the back, and Coleman and Baines could provide most of our width. Btay
We've needed a playmaker for the past couple of years, its got to be ossie to replace him for now.Peanuts for me, desperately need lukaku up top though Sibdane
Sibdane
Peanuts for me, desperately need lukaku up top thoughAgree. Would like to see Peanuts in Barkley's place with Mirallas left and McGeady right. Lukaku up top for sure.
Romey 1878
The thought of Osman or Pienaar being our answer to Ross' absence fills me with dread. Osman more so than Pienaar. Neither of them have the legs to replace Barkley - Barkley gives us energy and a spark up there, these two may as well sit on their bums. Mirallas or Naismith pretty please, Roberto. duncanmckenzieismagic
With his range of passing and his quick feet maybe Besic could do a job there
Lowensda
Against Leicester, I'd invert the middle. Have Barry as the single holding midfielder, Besic and McCarthy alongside each other, just ahead supplying support and passes to the wide and front man. Paddock
Still nothing on the OS on this.
c1982
I'd like to see ....................Howard.................... ...Stones.....Jags.....Distin........... Coleman...........................Baines .....McCarthy..Barry..Besic........... ..........Naismith.....Lukaku............ If Coleman isn't fit, I'm sure Besic could work the right wing back role and get Osman in the middle. I'm sure Mirallas and Lukaku could share 90mins. markiediow
Need to buy a replacement, was short in that position and now its going to be a problem before a ball kicked. Need someone like Benega for around the £6m mark.
