Zed
With the season a week away, no new signings and probably still our best, most experienced squad ever(in recent history), what in your opinion do we need to do to strengthen our starting 11. (realistic answers, we can all dream of lionel Messi) For me a flying winger is would be great and get tid of billy

Louis
My answer is also the same as last year, a board with direction!

StevO
"whos Zed?" "zeds dead hunny!" Where have you been? Staying out of admin will be a success I think. On the field any strength of squad would be nice, 7th or above would be ok, europe would be great.
Avinalaff
I think Moyes has to stop juggling the squad and stick to eleven players.
codders78
A special injury remedy that fixes things in about 2 days, thus enabling our best side to play every week Failing the miracle cure - a striker who can take his chances and some genuine width on the left. If the Pedro Leon rumour were to come off then thats one problem solved so it would just be a striker. Saha wont stay fit, Beckford is not prolific, Yak is inconsistent and unfit
Adam Partington
We need Guye, Barkley and Vel, Val, Vellio, Vallio, fuck it, the Greek lad to come real good. I'm talking about in the shape of the iconic 90's "You'll never win anything with Kids", Man Utd good. If not, then like someone said above, keep out of administration & keep Moyes. Romey 1878
A proper winger, with pace. Not someone who can do a job there. I'd happily wait til next summer for a striker if we could get a winger.

Peter H
I actually dreamt last night that the yak is having his best season ever this year. Top scorer in the prem. I want that dream to come true. Oh and a proper winger.
marcus jones
I just want the players to know that if you pass the ball and move a few paces in another direction they are allowed to have the ball back!
pax
I think we need some better fans who actually support the club rather than spending every second they have trying to find a reason to attack, undermine and de-stabalise the club. We have a poor season and there will be more than a few pointing fingers at so called supporters in the stands. You listening Hafnia? smeghead1
Hmmm id like to find a young Southall, Stevens, Ratcliffe etc etc but as its just a wet dream id like a takeover not arsed about a Citeh sized takeover id just like Moyes to have 10-15 million to spend without having to sell! Oh and avoiding 10 point deduction for administration and Felli signing a new contract would help!
c1982
Direct, pacy winger - the sad thing is that I'm sure there was a thread like this last season and I posted the same and even worse the season before that and the same was posted once again. It's been plainly obvious for at least 3 seasons that we've lacked pace out wide and for whatever reason we've not been able to do anything about it - we had our chance and we signed Bilyaletdinov. I believe we will sign a pacy winger on-loan again but this will be in Jan and will only be for 3 months - don't get me wrong I can't wait for his return but we need someone now!!! If we have pacy wingers, will our attacking options keep up with them? If (player X) breaks out of defence with the ball, how many players would be with him by the time he was ready to cross? My guess is only Beckford, as our team are quite slow on the break. I think wingers would be great, but we need pace in the middle to compliment I think. With the right player it can work wonders we didnt have pace when he was in the team Horne, Big Dunc, Parkinson, Rideout etc would never win a 100 metre sprint race would they? Pace can destroy a team especially if that player has the confidence to be direct its a fcuking shame they cost millions isnt it!!

I think wingers would be great, but we need pace in the middle to compliment I think. We'd have a totally different set up with natural width. Our central midfielders would be able to move up the pitch quicker - players like rodwell, fellaini and barkley have enough athletisism to do that, the reason they don't is that noone is breaking ahead so our attacks are held up. Also Saha/Yak/Beckford won't be dragged out wide trying to create something themselves as they so often do. WE NEED WINGERS!!!
StevO
I'm with that. Width and pace. If anyone seen us play well against villa at home last season, but their pace caught us on the break so many times that we threw it away. Pace is one of the biggest commodities in the modern game but we dont have enough of it.
Romey 1878
You could argue that we need a new manager. He looks utterly clueless on the touchline sometimes, and for all he boards financial limitations they are not to blame for the piss poor tactics he continually serves up, or playing players out of position when there are players who naturally could fill those positions. I'm not saying I want rid of Moyes before any one jumps on me.
pax
You could argue that we need a new manager. No. You couldn't. The worst thing that could happen to this football club, apart from going bust, is losing our manager. If we lost Moyes, our best players would leave, no players would want to come here (doesn't matter of we can afford them or not), we wouldn't get anyone remotely near his experience and quality, the entire stability of the club would be under threat. IMO, if Moyes leaves, the house comes tumbling down. He is absolutely vital.
marcopaulo
new assistant manager for me..an attack minded one..2 defensive coaches together equals negativity..i like round but he isn't what moyes needs..moyes needs someone to tell him to attack when we need to attack

Shut up romey you are stupid, it's beyond me how unintelligent you are, you are a sub species, do you not have recreational options on the Wirral? Actually I agree. The manager is as accountable as the board, if not more for the running of this club, and yes tactics is his downfall. Sick and tired of watching teams of square pegs, round holes. £70k a week? If he can't get them playing to their potential then I am sure he has a role to play at this club that doesn't involve team management. Love the fella though, just want him to be perfect. Was only joking on the intro by the way

pax
No you can't - cos you are disagreeing with Stalin At least i don't drag our clubs name through the mud on a daily basis. Treated with care very loyal and rewarding pets, treat them rubbish and they will bite everything that comes their way. A good deterrent for a bad owner I think.
