Oztoffee
The OS is saying they are going to up his training schedule as he's doing OK, but a decision still hasn't been made. Could be a worthwhile investment if he can get up to full fitness and as apparently Everton are one of the fittest teams in the Prem we have the people to do that for him. Hoof_It_Nev
How come we had 3 people over 21 in the under 21 game v Norwich? I guess that's allowed but just seems a bit strange...

lobscouse
Out of the possible free's out there he's the best available. The important thing is he is very available and he knows we are a club where careers are built and rebuilt. We need him available for QPR today! Avinalaff
The jury must still be out on him then, and possibly Gibson isn't quite as ready as we hoped.

SimonButtle
good signing imo, hopefully this will put an end to the Neville in midfield nonsense that seems to be the way at the moment.
Dalziel Kane
So we finally manage to bring him in? Only here for a few months spell so I understand. This would have been a very exciting capture about three or four years ago, but just doesn't have the same relish to it now. I'm aware of his capabilities and has been a decent player with some outstanding goals but seems to have disappeared of the radar in recent years. We'll see what he can produce for his three months here and still have to believe he can produce something special or can contribute. JoeQuince
He just needs a run of games and some confidence. If we can nurse him back, this signing could be immense. He's only 30. He had a bad run at a few unstable clubs over the last few years and, as a result, just lost his game a bit. I have a feeling we can resurrect this guy's career. Great defensive midfielder with great distribution and an amazing shot. Let's just get him healthy and confident. Stuttgart supporter friend of mine was excited for us/still believes in him, so I reckon we should have a little faith.
Matt
im still swinging. going to reserve judgement, or try to at least. Was wrong about Gibson so far, hopefully wrong here. Just thinking about it, Hitzels and Gibbo shooting from distance is quite intriguing... pete0
CMorley91
Always been a fan of his. Thought he looked good at West Ham a couple of seasons ago, although missed a lot of time because of injury. Could do much worse as a backup player
Dalziel Kane
I think he's primarily left footed, but can shoot with either foot apparently. Dead ball specialist from what I can recall, but once again, just feels his best years are behind him and simply not the same caliber of player that I read about or probably saw on occasion just four or five years ago. It still does represent a decent capture though.
lobscouse
Is hitz eligible for QPR or was it decided too late for FIFA to approve again?
Dalziel Kane
It read - 'Hitzlsperger will not be considered' (for todays game in London) Whichever way you look at it, once again, the bottom line is, the German very likely won't be involved today in any capacity. Avinalaff
Hitz will be offered a contract in January - congratulations.
Dalziel Kane
Pleased enough with that, but he's still not the player some will remember, but gave us reminder of what he could do with an effort in that Wigan game just recently. Still a worthwhile name to have on board though.
thoward18
If there was ever a "meh" contract announcement this is it. He's had a few bombs that were very close to going in but other than that he hasn't really shown me much. That being said, he doesn't seem to be a liability, either, which is important from a central mid player. The veteran presence doesn't hurt either. Good mid depth for situations like last game against Wigan or as a late sub.
Quinn31
I'd like to keep him around assuming he doesn't mind being a squad player rather than a starting XI regular. Solid centermid with a good shot and veteran experience. I really have no problems with having him onboard. At first, I thought he was a short-term McFadden like signing just to have another warm body, but I think he could hang around awhile like I said, as long as he doesn't expect to start every week. StevO
For free, hes a decent player. He seems to be very professional, and has a fair bit left in the tank. I'm happy to see him stay longer. Good squad player. Bailey
