Bailey
I just saw that as well. From what I have read both goals were well taken too.

msloan78
Good finishes both of them. 2nd one was really good, showing great confidence under pressure. Reckon he could do alright at Brentford and then I suppose it's just a case of wait and see afterward.
Quinn31
I think it's about time we recall him from loan. ;-) ... To be fair, Martinez said that this was McAleny's "next step", so maybe there is hope for him despite him not breaking into the first team and him being a bit older. Quinn31
That will just about kill any chance of him ever playing here assuming this will be a long-term injury.
pete0
Conor McAleny @CMcAleny2m Absolutely devastated about breaking my leg yesterday.. Never been this down in my life. No point dwellin on it now because thats football.. . And these things happen. I know for a fact i'll come back a stronger person physically and mentally. Thanks for the kind words people x

Matt
is there any news on the type of break? Barkley came back from a triple fracture so Im hoping he can do the same...
Bailey
Gutted for the lad. Hopefully he does come back better and stronger. Depending on the type of break and with the medical care they get nowadays Im sure he can. He only has to look at Ross, JV or Vic to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Zoo
Gutted for him, he seemed to start so well too. Hopefully he can bounce back. Edit: I'm guessing the loan deal will be/has been terminated then? Edited August 26, 2013 by Zoo
Quinn31
Wish him the best, but I don't see a 21 year old who only has 2 late sub appearances to his name and recent leg fracture to break through the ranks here. I feel like he was in a "last chance/now or never" season to impress here.

Quinn31
Hmm... Martinez must rate him pretty highly.. I imagine he must see something in McAleny if he's willing to talk up a 21 year old who has only gotten minimal first team experience and is now facing a long injury layoff. I wonder if McAleny is one who fits Martinez's style of play more than he would have Moyes' style. Anyways, a good follow up from the club, wish the best to Conor. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/09/07/mcaleny-already-making-progress

Romey 1878
Great news. I really hope he gets the opportunity to play once he's recovered, even if it's not with us. Quinn31
