Romey 1878
I wouldn't mind him tbh. I think he's what made the CB partnership at Brum work.
Matt
wouldnt mind him either, good player but depends on price.
adamsmith69
Yes, distin was decent this year but isnt getting any younger (i hate that saying)
aaron
would definatly take him, I rate Roger Johnson as well however Dann is the better of the two. Just depends on price.
c1982
He and Jags would make a cracking partnership for the next 5 seasons or so - isn't he a red? They'd surely be interested too...
Romey 1878
He is a red yeah.
Louis
He was in Liverpool's centre of excellence apparently. Shouldn't make a difference, look at Hibbert, Osman, Baines and Baxter, all were (or are) reds.
scouse
linked with Arsenal and Liverpool over the weekend, if thats the case then we have no chance..
Matt
KOEMAN WANTS SCOTT DANN Everton will move for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann if Southampton manager Ronald Koeman takes charge. Sky sources understand Everton are in talks with Koeman over a deal to bring him to Goodison Park, replacing former boss Roberto Martinez. And the Liverpool Echo reports Dann will be one of Koemans preferred targets to replace John Stones should the England defender leave this summer. Dann could command a transfer fee of £15m. Hegemon92
For his age and ability, I would rather pay 15M for a younger CB with more potential. I cannot honestly say that he could bench Jags, Stones, or Funes Mori.
Makis
As the story says he'd replace Stones and I can easily see Funes Mori benched. Yeah, someone with more potential would be nice. But where exactly does this info come from?
Paddock
I think he's a good player. He had an excellent season last season and is a tough old fashioned type centre half who can actually head a ball. He scores goals too.
Makis
He would be in the England squad if he played for a more fashionable team.

Makis
Not every player needs to be 20 or so, especially if we want to compete for CL places already next season. That team needs some leadership, whether it's Dann I don't know. But the lack of was quite telling last season.

Makis
There will be a premium for players signed from PL, especially ones teams don't want to loose. 15 million is last years ten.

My concern is having both our CBs having a collective age of closer to 70 than 40 though.
Paddock
If we got him and kept Stones that would be two older experienced and 2 younger up and coming with Stones and Mori that leaves plenty of permutations at CB with Holgate, Galloway and Browning still up and coming. I'd be happy with our CBs if we kept our existing ones and brought in Dann. He's also prem league hardened, no time to adapt, no question marks over if he can do it in the prem etc. 15 mil isn't a lot for an already established prem CB. As someone pointed out, if he was playingfor a "bigger" club he'd of gone the Euros.
