Avram Grant was sacked as West Ham manager after the Hammers lost their penultimate Premier League fixture to Wigan, sending them down to the Championship. It is now understood that David Gold, David Sullivan and Karen Brady have set their heart on McClaren to lead the Hammers back to the top-flight. The Everton assistant manager Steve Round is believed to be McClaren's first choice as this number two.
MikeO
Why would he want to take a step down ?
Greggles
I dont have a problem with Round but wouldnt mind this happening and allowing us to get in a more attack-minded assistant manager...

Romey 1878
agreed but who?? tho Moyes had his best ever season as manager at everton without a no 2 I didn't think Moyes had spent a whole season without a number 2, I just thought it was part of a season while he looked for Irvine's replacement. SimonButtle
im not that bothered if this happens, from what i can see, Round does not seem to have had any huge effect on the team (i could be wrong however) but yes, it would be a massive step down though, and lets be honest, BK might be abit of a nob and that, but who would want to go work for Gold, Sulivan, and Brady they are proper TWATS them.
