The Beard
I have just heard that Ashley Cole has been voted best Premiership left back by the PFA. Are they serious? There must definately be some southern bias in this. I believe, according to stats, that Baines has been one of the most productive players in Europe this season in terms of goals, assists etc. No way has Cole had a better season than Baines. Any thoughts?
Louis
We say it every year.. the PFA awards are too early in the season. The votes are from February and the awards night takes place before the end of the season.
Matt
To be fair Louis, it was clear that Baines has been the best LB since Christmas. Its an absolute joke that Cole is still held in such high regard.
MikeO
Think that premier league footballers must let tabloid journos do their thinking for them . Would explain Bale winning as well....shouldn't think many Everton players would have voted for him based on personal experience.

Finn balor
If the writers pick a team i think Baines would be in it. Altough i rate Cole as a better defender Baines is far far better and more productive going forward. I think it shows the calibre of Baines that he has had numorous players playing in front of him but it hasnt stopped his creativity and end product. I think we will be fending off clubs all summer for him than any other player.
MikeO
I think we will be fending off clubs all summer for him than any other player. I seriously believe that he won't go down the Rooney/Lescott route though....think he's happy and his head won't be turned.

Kohen
Assou-Ekotto is winning Please can people who don't watch football refrain from voting. I think Assou-Ekotto has come on a lot this season but to suggest he's better than Baines? hmmm...
