MikeO
England fairly likely to get a place (currently second in UEFA table) but most likely it'll go to Fulham...we'd need them (and Blackpool) to start playing real dirty. http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable

SimonButtle
tbh it was always going to be asking alot, especially with the current squad status injury-wise
ftaylor
The article references that Brum might not be able to prove they meet financial standards (whatever that may be) and 6th in the league might get into Europe if thats the case. As for fair play I think Fulham have it pretty much wrapped up. They are "well clear" of us and while thats table isn't updated they have had fewer cards than Everton over the past 2 games as well. smeghead1
Its also took any pressure off the players, clever maybe gets them playing freely, lets be honest we could go unbeaten till the end of the season and nobody would be surprised! I'd be quite surprised if we come away from OT unbeaten....but the last four are winnable .

GoodisonRoad
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/stoke-city/8459577/Stoke-City-could-aid-European-quest-by-losing-to-Manchester-City-in-the-Premier-League.html Football Association, Premier League and Uefa rules stipulate the runners-up are entitled to a Europa League berth only if the Cup winners qualify for the Champions League. So, if Manchester City were to lose out to Tottenham Hotspur and finish fifth, securing them a second spot in the Europa League, then one of them would be passed down to the team who finish sixth, currently Liverpool. marcopaulo
i don't get that? i thought the cup would be the second spot? or is it cos they earn that first because it's before the end of the league?
Romey 1878
As sson as the pressure was put back on our players they'd probably bottle it anyway tbh.
