Romey 1878
I'd rather every single CB in our system before him. Then Scott Dann. Then MikeO. Then maybe I'd consider Jonny fucking Evans.

I don't think he's that bad. At 5 million and only 22 (I think, is he) proven prem player for 5 million as back up. No brainer at that price. Never 10 mil though. Just think we could be lining up with Scott Dann, Johnny Evans and Tom Cleverley first game at Goodison next season. I'll look out for your silhouette hanging from one of the upper tiers if we do. c1982
Would you change your opinion if you knew he was 27? The amount of times he's played for Man U isn't to be sniffed at to be fair to him.

Paddock
Wow I thought he was 22!! Hmm that changes things slightly but at 5 million Distin was treated with the same sceptical views and look how that turned out.

Hafnia
I'd take Evans for £5m. Would be a smart addition
Btay
I'd take Evans for £5m. Would be a smart addition Better back up than what we got or had Edited May 31, 2015 by Btay
StevO
I'd be quite happy with him. He's got the winning mentality that most players who come through there, and the professionalism they have too. Shame he won't be bringing his missus with him.
Matt
Not bothered if hes on a free, but he's not going to come here to be back up if hes back up at United, so why even bother talking about it? He sure as shit wouldn't displace either Stones or Jags.
Makis
There's a chance he's bee told he's surplus to requirements. ManU are almost certain to sign defenders this window so his playing time might be very limited next season if he stays. As third choice defender he'd get plenty here. Cornish Steve
It wasn't so long ago that some were posting how Evans and Jones are among the worst defenders in the league. What changed? The fact that he might be available on the cheap?
Lowensda
Just been voted Uniteds worst player of the season. http://www.thesportbible.com/articles/manchester-united-fans-choose-their-worst-player-of-the-season 6 places below Falcao! EvertonianFL
Evans is a scrub...would take him on a free. Maybe pay 2-3 mill for him...but he's inconsistent and certainly not better than Stones or Jags. I'd rather see Tyias Browning get some games at center-half over Jonny Evans the spitter

Paddock
Was distin ever thought of as that bad? I'll go behind him with some cheese wire It depends who you talk to but at 5 million (6 years ago) most were furious over it. The lad deserves a chance. He's not my first choice but a proven very experienced centre half at 5 million (if it was that) would be a steal. 10 is way too much. He is bang average at best so I would rather save the dosh and give Galloway or Browning a go because we are only talking about a backup CB anyway Kant, Matt, Cornish Steve and 1 other
Btay
10m for me is too much when we have the young boys who can fill in, even besic or Barry before spending 10m on Evans

Granted you get the likes of Stones but he's exceptional. I just think we need an experienced cb and IF it was 5 mil I'd have him in aheart beat personally.
