wfcmartin
http://wp.me/p17xNf-3Vj, a short piece on Jermaine Beckford and Moyes' hand in his development.
MikeO
"Admittedly, when he has been allowed to splurge, the results have not been the best, most notably in the cases of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Marouane Fellaini." Is it worth reading beyond that?

Louis
For some reason Fellaini divides opinion. To some he's the team's keystone player whilst to others he's just a fluffy giant who stands on the pitch.
MikeO
...to others he's just a fluffy giant who stands on the pitch. Anyone who's still of that opinion needs to find another sport to watch....because they plainly know nothing about football .

rubecula
Thats fuzzy not fluffy. Fluffy means gentle and cuddly, when he is on form I would sooner have a cuddle with a shark.
Matt
http://www.liverpool...00252-28524933/ For a 26-year-old coming to terms with his first experience of top flight football, a return of seven Premier League goals in 26 appearances is respectable. But that figure doesn't take into account anything like the actual time Beckford has spent on a football pitch this season. The recent visit of Aston Villa was the first time he has actually completed 90 minutes in a Premier League match. He has figured in exactly 1,018 minutes of top flight football – and has returned a goal every 145 minutes. That's enormously impressive. To put it into some perspective, it's a return only Didier Drogba, Robin van Persie and Carlos Tevez can top. And it's a better record than Wayne Rooney, Andy Carroll, Kenwynne Jones, Asamoah Gyan, Peter Odemwingie and Fernando Torres (although even Tony Hibbert can match the sulky Spaniard for goals scored over the last 12 games). duncanmckenzieismagic
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2011/04/16/everton-fc-striker-jermaine-beckford-reminds-me-of-some-of-the-very-best-david-moyes-100252-28530037/ I think this is really good man management by Moysie after rightly hauling him off and bollocking him against Wolves. I fancy him to get on the scoresheet today and he might even challenge the CB for the ball once or twice instead of trying to turn him every time! Hafnia
The lad seems very head strong, a good thing as a striker, but a bad thing when you have lessons to be learned. Expect him to put a shift in today, bit of a masterpiece in psychology by moyes. Let's just hope he doesn't turn into Marcus bent though. Defend from the front ala Ian rush (sorry)
