Louis
http://www.mirrorfoo...icle693887.html Everton boss David Moyes is ready to sign Preston keeper Andy Lonergan in a shock £750,000 move. Lonergan is heading for Goodison today and will start training with the Toffees but will not be able to play for them until next season. Moyes gave Lonergan his debut at Preston a decade ago and has lined him up as competition for first choice Tim Howard. Lonergan is for sale at Preston who will gladly tee up the deal now - and are to get Everton reserve Iain Turner on loan in exchange. Turner could go straight into Preston's side, putting Lonergan in cotton wool to avoid injury and make sure there are no snags before his switch to Everton. North End boss Phil Brown has been tracking Turner and will give him the chance to become part of the move on a permanent basis. Lonergan has been chased by several clubs recently, but the chance to go to Everton - with the hope of starting in the top flight is too good to refuse. EFC-Paul once scored against him too: http://www.toffeetal...post__p__139461 Don't bother Andy. It's a goalkeeper graveyard
EFC-Paul
Haha your a crafty bugger Louis I've never been a fan tbh he's far to inconsistant to play at a higher lever even if its the odd appearance plus the money if true could be used in far more important area's EFC-Paul once scored against him too: http://www.toffeetal...post__p__139461 Edited February 8, 2011 by EFC-Paul

Louis
I don't see the point in keeping Turner hanging around anymore. He needs to move on for the sake of his own career.

marcopaulo
keepers are always a tricky one..you need 2 but only one is likely to ever play..some just have to accept to being a number 2 for a big chunk of their career i guess

Louis
If it happens, it happens. I like Joe Murphy at Scunthorpe.. I saw his debut against Oxford many years ago. Saved 2 penalties
Romey 1878
In the grand scheme of things who gives a flying fuck if Cardiff pip us to sign a goalkeeper that would never play for us anyway? I know I wouldn't, we've got far more pressing matters this summer.

SimonButtle
whats the point in another GK, Mucha is already moaning about the lack of chances he has, it will just be the same thing again, complete waste of time

It's in the job description . Mucha must've known that so I don't know what he's moaning about.

MikeO
Very true Mike, but another keeper is hardly the priority at the moment is it? If Mucha's on his way and DM doesn't think Turner's good enough then it is something of a priority....otherwise I agree completely.

Lowensda
I'm pretty sure he's wank, and the reason we sent him back early from that trial stint proves it. Don't see the point in this.
