Avinalaff
Viruses. Just had a 'Metropolitan Police' scam virus try it on. It locks your pc, and tells you that you need to pay x amount etc etc. I immediately restarted into safe mode, and ran various scans, but nothing. I did however have a dll error coming up at start up, so I ran the name of the error on Google, and nothing came up. I went to the .dll file, and it was last opened 2009, so deffo a registry file, but on the properties tab from the run sequence, it said 11.30 last night. I then went to start up, and it was in there as nnnv0. blah blah.dll, so I turned it off in start up using msconfig, and then went into the registry and searched for it. Exported the file to desktop, and then deleted it. Restarted etc, and pc running fine now. Can't be sure though, so a reformat always best if in doubt. Thought I'd share with you what to do if you also got it. It's sad times when a guy can't watch granny porn in peace.

Hitman pro usually does away with the ones most other AV's can't its worth running the free version along with Malwarebytes

I favour Avast free, as a constant, and Malwarebytes and Superantispyware as a check programme, but I'll take a look at the Hitman you suggest. Me and the Missus went shopping the other day and popped in HMV and she bought it much to my displeasure as it would take ten mins to download but hey ho.It's a decent film some very funny parts, worth a watch. Dalziel Kane
This could well be a long list for me so I'll keep it short I'll say it again, but message boards where people play favorites and impartiality goes out the window, even worse when they all share the same interest or objective, maybe it's just me on this Christmas merchandise in shops in August, Easter stuff in shops in January, Halloween crap in stores in July, you get the picture The overwhelming constant avalanche of absolute SHIT on TV the last few years, miserable leather faced 'Celebrities', talent shows, etc etc, X-factor style shit, I appreciate some may like it, but I'd rather look directly into the sun, if my wife puts on such things at any time I just leave the house or hide in the attic until it's over, horrible boring garbage for want of better comments Messing around with the clocks, i.e Daylight Saving Time, lose an hour, gain an hour, just damn well leave them alone Politicians. All they do is spend time at Westminster in the bars and when they do bother to make an appearance it'll be because it's going live on TV, then we get to hear the usual yeah, yeah, yeah bullshit and their disingenuous promises and resolutions and false pretensions. Not all bad mind, but that's the general summing up I'll have to stop here as I could be at this some time now, but it can be quite difficult sometimes to keep one's patience and composure

Baaaa! I kid you not mate, though it was with protection and legal etc. Mind you, I always got that anyway. Insurance is a scam. It should be investigated. Most accidents cost a lot less to put right than we pay out.
Dalziel Kane
I'm going to include weather forecasters in this too, can't stand those fuckers sometimes. Twice this week already we have been told to prepare for 'weather of old testament proportions, Armageddon type storm fronts etc' and torrential rain and hurricane winds and all It's been is a few strong gusts and some sporadic rain showers that invariably last for ten minutes And even then they only appear about twice a day for about forty seconds at a time and that constitutes 'a days work' Horrible snides
EFC-Paul
Ah insurance how did that one slip my mind the robbing gits. I did own a Pug 306 1.9 td two years ago and paid £45 a month fully comp with three years no claims, fast forward to now I'm 26 no points five years no claims and pay £71 per month for a 1.7 Astra tdci apprently due to the amount of un-insured drivers. Funny that as I told the lady on the blower I didn't realise I was persecuted for 1) for being a loyal customer and 2) for jobs that concern them and the Police! I can cope with a fiver or so but £71 per month is a joke
StevO
I have two new cars, and the missus has only been driving since July, so my insurance should be massive! Insurance cost - zero! Company cars, perks of the job. I've been lucky enough to never pay car insurance in my life, and long may it continue.
SimonButtle
i don't drive so can't really comment but a friend of mine got round it by building a kit car and using that, apparently the insurance worked out much better even though the kit car has a V8 in it.
