Was bloody astonishing, love it if he went deep a grand slam one last time.

Think Cam Norrie is going to have a good one as well.

Even if he goes out next round he’s done phenomenally well.

He’s got a metal hip and went 5 sets with one of the most powerful players in the world in his first game. Then plays someone that is about a decade younger than him in the next game (and at their home tournament), goes two sets down and somehow manages to then win 3 sets on the trot (with one of them being a tie-break) despite his opponent serving for the match in the third set.

Insane performance.

Blah blah blah like they're ever going to take any serious action. A slap on the wrist and back to regularly scheduled programming.

It'll just be a big fine. But it won't be big enough to really punish a club as rich as them.

If they had balls they'd strip them of the league titles they won during that time (which would give the shite another two, ergh!), deduct points this season and let them be known if they do it again they'll be relegated.

I imagine it'll be along these lines.

Seeing as they broke the rules more than 100 times over the period in question I think the PL will be going bigger than what UEFA did.

Probably, but I meant more that a fine will be announced with a pittance of it actually paid.

Is what Rangers did in Scottish Premiership worse that what it appears Man City have been doing over a 10 year period?.  If they broke the FFP rules over 100 times and blatantly lied about it - surely the book should be thrown at them.

They have profited massively and over the past two season are the club with the highest turnover in the world. On the back of this they have made billions from prize money, TV revenues and sponsorship.

A fine or a points deduction for a one off season is barely a punishment for the now richest club in the world. A step down two or three divisions and lose two or three years prize money, mega sponsorship deals and TV revenue to me is the only type of punishment worth the Premier league dishing out.

We might get relegated this season as we are a club that have been working closely with the Premier League to make sure after 3-4 seasons of large spending (but only in Everton terms) so we don't break these FFP rules. Losing our place as a Premier League club might just well be our fate this season, a fate plenty of other teams have already suffered over the years.

City have had massive rewards on the back of this (if all true), the punishment need to be appropriate to the reward they have been reaping.

Given they have had say best part of a decade basking in the glory of this, why should it not potentially be a punishment that may take a decade to fully recover from? Rangers recovered, and so would City.

It will never happen as they are a powerful now a franchise now.

Of course we're focused on our own problems, but Leeds are a real mess right now.

Even if we hadn’t beat Arsenal they’d have still taken less points than us over the same period (can’t remember how many games Sky were talking about though, think it may have been 8 games).

Agreed. Clever lawyers playing with smoke and mirrors behind closed doors, an ineffectual and pusillanimous PL, an independent commission that will take an eternity to hear all the evidence, City's considerable financial muscle - nothing will be done unless City agree it to be done. They'll get a fine, at most, the equivalent of a parking ticket to them.

I don’t think it’s incompetence, I think they are blatantly creating results to keep title/relegation battles as long winded and as close as they can.  I thought this after the Man City handball vs us, as Everton in a relegation battle would be a huge interest.

you watch tomorrow, var will do us us big time. They want Liverpool in the hunt for Europe and for us to be last day relegation/survival candidates.
