Louis
I saw this in the Guardian earlier: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/oct/01/everton-liverpool-new-community-club Some people want to create a new football club within the Liverpool city boundaries that will play in the North West Counties League. I don't see the point personally. If people in Liverpool wanted non-league football, more would go and see Bootle or Marine.

EFC-Paul
This is probably in light of the success of United FC? I wouldn't say so as such they had the media coverage and turned heads with them being what they described as a breakaway United club totally different foundations from the word go if another side took a similar route
MikeO
Chelsea a big club in recent years obviously, but not always been the case, just stumbled across this (look from 1'30").

Cornish Steve
Brian Moore and the Big Match - on Sunday afternoons. I used to enjoy it since the TV wasn't always available on Saturday nights for Match of the Day. And they did sometimes focus on the lesser games, maybe because of cost. Funny to see the empty stands at Stamford Bridge. It almost looked like a non-league game.

johnh
While a kid at home, could only watch while a parent was watching. 10pm was viewed as very late. What a difference now. While a kid at home, there was no TV. I used to hate listening to football on the radio, particularly if Everton were losing 1 - 0 with 5 minutes to go and the commentator would drone on about the ball being just outside Everton's penalty area, then out by the corner flag, then a throw-in to the opposition, then a corner. All the time me yelling at the radio 'get it up the field'., and my mother asking what I wanted for tea. No, I tell a lie. It was just after the war and everything was on ration so you ate what you were given. Still can't stand listening to radio commentaries. Romey 1878
West Ham have got one hell of a cushy deal with the Olympic stadium. Taxpayers will pay for ticket checkers, medical staff and cleaners. They also won't have to pay turnstile operators, much of the security and steward staff, and catering staff. MikeO
Stan Collymore on the man that some still maintain would have transformed Everton (he doesn't seem to go along with the theory that it was all Martin O'Neill's fault)... “On the watch of Mr Lerner, and latterly Tom Fox as Chief Executive, and Paul Faulkner before him, the club I have supported since childhood have become the laughing stock of the Premier League." http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aston-villa-stan-collymore-sherwood-10296110

MikeO
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34602348 Good luck Johan, survival rates for lung cancer still not great sadly but I'm sure he'll get the best of the best treatment. What a player, saw him at Wembley against England (sure I've posted this before) and the Dutch team were so good my dad took me and my brother by surprise by deciding he was going to support Holland in the second half.
