SimonButtle
should have been banned from the game for reaching 20 red cards let alone 41, thats just fucking ridiculous
Dalziel Kane
Didn't Jones, or Fashanu or even Wise, at least one of the original Wimbledon 'crazy gang' total twenty sending offs in their career, or it must have been close. Even Keane more recently, seemed to total more sendings off than actual goals for a time I remember. 41 reds and still playing is a bit of a nonsense, but obviously things are done differently in South America, and some of the violence that goes on over there, both on and off the field of play, they must get used to that kind of thing, or simply fighting a losing battle. c1982
I was lucky enough to take a group of children to St.George's Park in Burton for a training session on the Gordan Banks pitch with Gary Neville this morning! Great place! You may even see me on SSN if you look close enough!!! (every hour at half past - stood with hands in pockets!!!) Dalziel Kane
Yes that was a tragic waste of a young life and I hope they get the people responsible for that mindless killing. My sympathies to his immediate family as always.

Lowensda
All in all the Wonga deal just makes ~Ashley look even more of a tit. The virgin Money deal was respectable and well thought of, this one....makes them look like they're being sponsored by frauds.
Romey 1878
Did anyone make a fuss about Blackpool being sponsored by them? I don't think so, so I'm not sure why anyone gives a toss all of a sudden.

pete0
If Newcastle is one of the main areas to use Wonga, surely them sponsoring Newcastle should be a positive thing as they're giving back to that community. Although the muslim players have a fair point.
Kohen
Interesting that they don't have one quote from any of the players mentioned! Plus, how many clubs are sponsered by companies producing alcohol (us!), or offering gambling services? They're both prohibited by Islam

I wouldn't of had any qualms if Bily hadn't wanted to wear the sponsor, as long as it was his individual choice.

pete0
michael owen Diving high on the agenda. I suggested at least 75% of players that go down for a penalty could have actually stayed on their feet. Very rarely does someone hit you with such force that it causes you to hit the deck. But where do you draw the line on whether it's a dive?
marcopaulo
he has a point..there is a grey area in the diving debate..jelavic gets on my tits for it Matt
pete0
When Jela first came he was awful fr it, but you can see he's cutting it down, although still overplaying too much for an Everton player. Coleman and Pienaar are the only ones I can think of who have been here long enough to know better, but compared to the rest of the league they're not that bad for it. Mirallas is showing signs as well. Pepe via Onda Cero—"Barça players go down easy. They do theatrics. Lowensda
F*ck off Pepe, he's arguably one of the worst and most embarrasing to watch doing it. As Marco rightly says, he's doing it as a big defender, its even worse. All of them are as bad as each other.
