Dalziel Kane
You've got to laugh. Even at half past four in the morning after a few intoxicating beverages it made things no more impressive. First impression, some eight year old kids with some crayons, but you know how the most simple thing can resemble Renoir, Rembrandt, or da Vinci to some idiots. It didn't take long to lose any, and all, interest on this issue.
MikeO
Again not "odd" but one of the saddest news stories I've seen..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-24802172 How in the world do people cope with that?

Dalziel Kane
http://entertainment.uk.msn.com/trending-blog/lady-gaga-to-perform-in-space can they leave her there? I wouldn't be quite so lenient with words regarding this issue, but can only hope some incident occurs where she, (him, it, whatever the fuck it is) has their air supply cut off or gets slowly asphyxiated by such means and perishes and that will be the end of it. Not one of our nations greatest exports.
Louis
I like Lady Gaga. I found this fascinating, even if it isn't strictly news. MikeO
I found that really interesting too, thanks for posting it. Likewise. Amazing that such a remote and beautiful place is so littered with corpses (and rubbish). I've seen TV documentary stuff where people have had to leave others to die up there; tragic but it's the risk you take. Too many amateurs trying it I think, it's like Piccadilly Circus at times in the climbing season.
Louis
It made me want to watch Touching the void. I find things like these and decide I want to read more/know more about it and never get around to it.
MikeO
It made me want to watch Touching the void. Seen it and read the book Louis. Book is better (as they generally are). Mountaineering has always fascinated me from a kid, though as I'm shit scared of heights it's not something I could ever have had a go at. Went part way up Ben Nevis once . MikeO
Story you can argue the merits of, think it's a bit of an overreaction myself.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24909889 But one bit made me laugh... An extra who was filming on Sunday told the Mirror: "This was grotesquely disrespectful and offensive. I can't believe I wore an SS uniform on Remembrance Sunday." So why did you ? MikeO
Another one here...people fighting off a croc on a golf course.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01lgd0y Bit disappointing that they don't recommend which club to use in the circumstances, just said they hit it with "a golf club". I'd have gone for a seven iron personally, it always was my "go to" when I was having a bad time. Matt
