Zoo
If DM was still in charge I think that Gueye's days would be numbered. Martinez however will probably give him a chance as he loves the youth.

bluenosetoffee
I liked Gueye, he had a couple of good games but I don't think he was Everton's standard unfortunately. Good luck to him in the future wherever he ends up! pete0

MikeO
Yeah; not even up to "squad filler" standard from the relatively little we've seen of him I don't think. Shame, but good luck to him.

To be honest, from what little I saw, 70% of the time I thought he was promising. I had hopes for this lad too, at least he seemed to have the right attitude. Louis
He apparently had another year on his contract but agree to accept £100k compensation to leave (saving the club £800k in the process). Matt and Steve_E
Hafnia
Bilyaltdinov & Gueye = Two players recommended to Moyes by other managers who never felt they were good enough to sign themselves.... In Gueyes case, Gerrrard "Bruno Cheyrou is the next Zidane" Houllier....
markjazzbassist
sad to see him go, his goal in the league cup game was class.
Sibdane
I always thought he was similar to Vellios in that he didn't look that bad when he actually played in a match. He must have been a different player on the training pitch.
Cornish Steve
As important as who we bring in is who we let go, so I'm glad we're sorting out the deadwood. It sounds harsh to call someone that, because I'm sure the guy himself is very disappointed, but we have to make decisions like this in order to succeed. Shukes
Looked a good prospect originally and I was excited to see him the first few times. Unfortunately he seemed to slow down with progress and seemed out of position on the wings. Had a nice shot, move attitude from what I could gather. Hope the lad finds a club and makes a decent career for himself.

As much as I would have liked to seem more of him, truth is, he wasn't getting on the field. He needed to be let go (and he saved us a small chunk of change). I agree that he was similar to Vellios, both totally out of their depth and neither were ever going to be good enough for Everton

Matt
He may have been played there, but he was never a LW or LM. He is a support striker, bit like Naismith minus the experience. Always liked the look of him, wish him the best pete0
MikeO
Not one of DM's better moments; might find his level in the Championship but the one year contract (with another year option) suggests Millwall aren't completely convinced. Average at best but good luck to him.
