mk86
I've taken leave from work so that I can travel to watch each game. Even though I follow Sydney in the local league, I'll be in their with the Everton jersey giving all my support. Looking forward to it! BrotherEstapol
Whoa! That's pricey! For perspective, the tickets I bought for the Australia vs New Zealand friendly next week(the socceroos fairwell match), and they were $65 AUD for the 2nd tier tickets... I most certainly won't be paying $140 for my ticket... Cheers for posting that Louis!
Romey 1878
There may well be a lot of empty seats then. Well done to whoever decided on the pricing. Edited May 15, 2010 by Romey 1878
BrotherEstapol
I'd put my money on it being the A-League clubs that put that price on there. They are all a bit strapped for cash, but they clearly don't get the whole supply/demand thing...hell, if they had the Melbourne game at the MCG(100k capacity) instead of Docklands(50k) and halved the ticket prices they'd have a full house MCG instead of an echoing Docklands with a pitch that rivals Wembley. Bit of a joke really...
inertia8
The Everton Supporters Club of Australia has sent an email saying to hold off buying tickets, they're trying to organise a section of the stadium for Everton fans... at the very least they'll post up information on which block/location to book a ticket so that we're not all spread out. I'll pay the $140 if that's where they decide to stick the everton fans section... however will reconsidering paying it twice.. might skip going to Sydney, though I think that will be the toughest game for Everton and likely to be the most entertaining. mk86
Well I've already said that I'm going to be at all the games, and 140 bucks for each is bloody pricey. Keep us updated with this Everton section.
BrotherEstapol
just to make matters worse...the Sydney game is on my sister's 18th birthday and the Melbourne game is on my girlfriend's mum's birthday. How fuck am I gonna pull this one off.
mk86
just to make matters worse...the Sydney game is on my sister's 18th birthday and the Melbourne game is on my girlfriend's mum's birthday. How fuck am I gonna pull this one off. Easy. Buy your sister a ticket to the game for her birthday. Same with your girlfriend's mum. They win, you win. I've just got back from sending an email to my roster people. I'm extending my leave which was originally from the 9th to 18th. It's now the 1st to the 18th, hoping to catch the team at the airport! MikeO
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2010/05/21/aussie-tour-travel-info Love to do that....think it's reasonably priced also, particularly the 3* Sydney/Melbourne option. Not a chance though .
mk86
I would love to see the Blue supporters from overseas coming downunder. Too bad thought that the Everton section tickets have been sold out for all three games. I believe they were trying to extend them... again! BrotherEstapol
I ended up going "fuck it" and went with the gold tickets at the Brisbane game... Good seats though! Row 15 behind the Everton bench.
The Beard
I know of, at least 20 people who are flying out independently. Arranged visits from 1 week to 1 month, alas I shall not be able to attend, perversely because I have family who live in Brisbane and have actually come over to Liverpool for the summer, how bloody ironic. Especially as where about to arrange to go last year when an Everton trip was mooted but was then cancelled.
