holystove
Who knows? All I know is that I can't be arsed with the circus and it's pretty obvious his agent, and him, have been buttering up his preferred club and are now coming back to Everton to try and make sure we don't ask too much! Fuck that. They pay what we want. I just cannot be arsed with this carry on. Move him on ASAP for the price that suits him and let's start building for next season. So which is it? Pay what we want , or just move him ASAP for the price that suits him? I think this will be a humiliating experience for Rom. IMO, any team would be mad to pay more than 60-65m for him. Everton won't let him go for anything less than 75?-80?. He'll stay at Everton for at least one more season and it will have been another summer of him saying he will go to a "big" club, with no realistic offers coming in. EFC-Paul
Holy there is no way he's staying even more so after his latest media antics Let him go make a massive profit and move on, he won't be afforded the slack he's had here at a higher level, the petulant arm throwing, miss placed balls and poor runs and his playground first touch won't go down well with fans after spunking near record money on him He scores goals granted but he's a petulant tit with a big time Charlie attitude

aaron
"Sell then buy Farhad, sell then buy. Lowensda
How much did we NOT spend last year? 2016. (VERY very rough estimations) Incoming £100m in the kitty (irrelevant of TV money and sales) £83m in TV money. £49.98m in transfers out (https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/everton-fc/transfers/verein/29) Outgoing £73.02m in transfers in. (https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/everton-fc/transfers/verein/29) So (fag packet calculations) that leaves £159.96m from last year alone (apparently). Lets say wages (£56,212,000 - Based on 2016 first team http://sillyseason.com/salary/everton-fc-players-salaries-101493/)and general operating/investment costs (someone might have to help me here - Not going to exceed £30m, surely?) Leaves roughly £70m still in the ether, from 2016. (obviously that figure could be drastically different if I have a lumped operating cost figure) Yet still...we seem like we're sell to buy AGAIN. Unless it (£100m) was genuinely not available. Edited June 7, 2017 by Lowensda

Matt
Season has started yet. Hard to spend money when we're not allowed. We could have agreements in place where payment only goes through on July 1st, transfer window doesn't need to be open to start negotiations. I'm assuming we're just keeping quiet like we usually do. Guest rusty747
I agree. That's why I'm betting on the Rom-humiliation outcome. This certainly could come back to bite Rom in the ass. The question is, if we get no offers or no acceptable offers for Rom, will we actually want him playing for us next season. I know he can find the back of the net but it may well be that Moshiri splashes out on a 'replacement' striker before Rom is sold - and then nobody comes in for him. Disruptive influence etc. Rom would have to eat an awful lot of humble pie before I would welcome him back in the fold. Chach

Not going to happen imo, it seems pretty obvious that we are sell to buy this window. although i would like to know what happened to the £60m bids for players last summer and this year we seem to be waiting for players to leave. And fact is that with Rom the last few seasons we have finished 11th twice and Seventh. We need to be heading forward. holystove
