duncanmckenzieismagic
We may well have a few more arrests than most teams at away matches but then we take 3 times as many fans away than most sides I go to most away games and there is never any trouble most of the arrests are for thinks like drunk and disorderly so I really dont think there is a problem
Louis
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/23122009/58/premier-league-manchester-united-top-hooligan-arrest-league.html 3rd in total arrests... presumably the highest in terms of arrests: stadium capacity ratio? paul
Not surprised one bit. The stewards at GP are throwing fans out for some of the slightest things. It only takes the fan to argue back and it turns into an arrest.
MikeO
139 arrests? 40,000 people at home games, a lot of whom boozed up. 50 odds games last season, lets say for the sake of argument an average of 20,000 Evertonians at each. That makes one million blues going through the turnstile. And 139 were arrested. That's just over 0.01%. Statistically insignificant and a huge non-story. Romey 1878
You're forgetting it's Everton though Mike, if it was the shite that's when it wouldn't be reported, especially by the Echo .
duncanmckenzieismagic
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2009/12/23/everton-fc-fans-blamed-for-rise-in-number-of-football-fans-arrested-at-matches-in-liverpool-100252-25454334/ If you want a luagh read some of the crap our Norwegian friens are saying about it in the comments section especially the gimp JB_Kirkdale lol heres an example "I think you will find Heysel was the straw that broke the camels back, it was the fault of many clubs including Everton that got English teams banned from Europe." and "I expect Moyes or Kenwright will be appearing in the press soon blaming or at least hinting that Liverpool fans were to blame. They do it for everything else and Everton fans swallow it hook line and sinker which then deflects any criticism away from themselves." Romey 1878
I wouldn't listen to anything those gobshites have to say, they stole tickets from their own at the 2005 Champions League final, children included.
