Dalziel Kane
Mad World was the best they ever did Sade Your Love Is King 1984 although Smooth Operator was much better, they should have played that instead damn it.
MikeO
Mad World was the best they ever did... "The Hurting" was a great album start to finish! "Seeds of Love" was great also (heavy Sgnt Pepper influence in the title track!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajy1xNB-LkI This is one of my favourites.... Dalziel Kane
Everybody Wants to Rule the World was their biggest hit, I actually bought it on release, although in retrospect wish I hadn't, it was just that time for music. 1985 saw some good releases. MikeO
Everybody Wants to Rule the World was their biggest hit.... Far from their best though. Bit of trivia, pre TFF Smith and Orzabal were in Graduate. Worked on their one and only album myself as a young lad...lifetime ago . Second album wasn't released at the time but this was (going to be) the title track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsm2GvFVhmo

Dalziel Kane
Cameo Word Up 1986 This is damn embarrassing, but I don't choose what they select to put on. Was a decent hit at the time though, just terribly outdated.
MikeO
This is damn embarrassing, but I don't choose what they select to put on. Think you may be taking this thread too literally DK. It's not necessary to let us know every song that comes on whatever station you happen to be listening to . It's more a case of, "What have you heard that you like/you'd recommend?" (Apart from Bronski Beat....I always like to know when you of listened to them )
Dalziel Kane
The thread title states "What are you listening to". There doesn't seem to be any ambiguity on this issue. I was listening to that track, and all other previous responses, as the title states. If that's not what it's about, I apologize and everything, but that's how I've always seen it. I.e. There is music on, and I am listening to that, but only relevant during a TT visit you understand. I invariably declare what music may be on during a visit if I happen to be listening, and see no reason why not to continue, but no harm done or anything. Match of the Day is on right now, so If I don't go into cardiac arrest during a watch, and their banal and awful fucking presenters, I'd like to see our match today and what occured etc. Everton to be featured last again you can only imagine. pete0
Apologies if I've already posted this one. The Antlers - Hospice. I fear the next radio adored band will be Young The Giant, I don't completely hate them, ok for background music. Just the right amount of blandness the simpletons love and will overly play. Original post said (many years ago).... Good threads these can get some good ideas for downloads!! I'm currently listening to my wife moan about us putting on MOTD when she was watching a film but nobody needs to hear about it. She sounds a little like Jimmy Somerville due to laryngitis incidentally .
Dalziel Kane
Well I didn't see the original post obviously. To me, you or anybody who reads the (current) title, it's self explanatory. As stated, The Housemartins Happy Hour 1986 Better than that awful fucking garbage #1 they had for Christmas that year
Dalziel Kane
Vintage TV - The best sounds of 1988 It's too bad that every time, they play the same fucking tracks over and over again. But it was an eventful year I remember.

Dalziel Kane
Vintage TV Selected sounds of 1987 If they ever build a time machine in our lifetimes, would be one of the first stops going back. Nothing on right now, only damn commercials, but they did have some good releases that year I recall
