StevO
if a club wants to get the backing of the fans, this is how to do it! well done spurs! that is a brilliant design! http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/hi/people_and_places/newsid_8326000/8326597.stm Edited October 27, 2009 by StevO
iggy
It also helps that they are not trying to move a few miles down the road into a different borough!

StevO
It's a bowl. Groundbreaking :sleeping_03anim: . It is a bowl mike, but the single tier ends and the architechture for the roof, its a one off. and is certainly different. it makes our design look medievil. But the Kirkby stadium is world class Steve, that's why it's such a good move. Shame on you .
StevO
But the Kirkby stadium is world class Steve, that's why it's such a good move. Shame on you . ive just looked at both clubs designs, and as a club on our level, with i think spurs are, the level of ambition towards a new stadium is just so disappointing. i loved our design when it was first published, but it seems in the last couple of years the world of engineering and stadium design has gone up a notch. we are out of date before ground has been broken. marcopaulo
they're just copyin the park end with the single tier there
StevO
we are out of date because people keep putting obstacles in our way to make sure we dont build a stadium before the red shite...as for the design it doesnt really bother me ours is ok. for me the main thing is i can get a seat with no obstructions weather its kirkby or goodison. we have nothing iconic at kirkby. i know its not much, but we have the leicht stands at goodison and all the firsts we had there make it special. we led the way in stadium design for probably 70 years. Romey 1878
The Tesco could be pretty iconic tbf Steve. I mean, none of them look exactly the same... wait, that's not right is it? <_<

Sheeeeeedy
Jeez, that is nice, especially the single tier stand. I'm willing to put a few quid on that it doesn't end up looking like the pictures though, not with the time period suggested.
rubecula
Whether or not we build a stadium in Kirkby, (And most of you know my views on that) I sometimes feel like I am the only one who thinks the design is piss poor. I think our 'new' stadium was designed by the architect's guide dog. I have seen more attractive shoe boxes.
Romey 1878
You're not the only one Rube, I think it's just a cheap looking tin can. Reminds me of the JJB/DW stadium.
Sgt Pepper
Iconic: Groovy pictures Kirkby's got a retro-er design... i have to say their design is real awesome though.
