blueblood
Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is lining up a move for Borussia Moenchengladbach's Ivory Coast centre-back Steve Gohouri, 28, as he fears losing Chris Samba to Tottenham or Everton. (Daily Mail) I'd rather not if it's all tha same
Madmatt
Samba is a very strong defender, certainly under-rated IMO
duncanmckenzieismagic
If the preseason games are anything to go by then I would rather have him in there than Rodwell at the moment
jamiemaher85
I'd prefer him to someone like Huth. I think Samba is very under-rated and would be a adequete back-up for the first team.
Romey 1878
He's more of a monster than a good defender IMO.
CaptainFerguson10
Very good defender, strong and no nonesense. Better than the other names we have been linked with, with exception to Taylor.
Everton_Worshiper
He's more of a monster than a good defender IMO. Very true, can you imagine someone like Osman & Samba challenging for the same ball in a tackle...scary outcome.
CraccerC
I rate Samba, good player. Definitely have him here.

aaron
rather have taylor if possible but I think Samba is a good defender.
chicagoblue
Samba is a good defender and a threat from set pieces. I'd have him for 5-7M
shetland
I think he's a decent enough standard defender for where we are now even if he does seem to divide opinion a bit. My only problems would be not paying too much for him (if we have the case for that to be possible) and also isn't he an international that could be missing come the African Nations start of next year? Reallm
He's monster up front too. Saw him play upfront last season and no one could handle him.
duncanmckenzieismagic
He's monster up front too. Saw him play upfront last season and no one could handle him. Are you sure you mean monster and not donkey?
Romey 1878
We already have defenders who just hoof aimlessly, let's not replace our only CB who can pass it out from the back with this fella.
StevO
if we bring in him and taylor, fine.

fire_mickey
I honestly don't understand how you guys say hes under rated. All he can do is head the ball, im sorry but if anything he's overrated.
duncanmckenzieismagic
http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/262270/Everton-target-Chris-Samba Being touted as Jag's replacement
Romey 1878
http://www.express.c...get-Chris-Samba Being touted as Jag's replacement Am I the only one who just sees him as a big brute with nothing else about him? He'd be backwards step IMO.
c1982
http://www.express.c...get-Chris-Samba Being touted as Jag's replacement If Jags is sold we've got Heitinga and Yobo who are more than capable and proven replacements - it'd be stupid to prioritise CB when we don't have an out and out winger in the squad! - I think this is crap journo jarg without really knowing the situation/squad at EFC. Totally agree. He is no better than Yobo, given both their games are about physicality not finnesse. Nobody seems interested in Yobo so we may as well keep him and use the money to strengthen where we are weak. A winger and striker are surely the priority
