MikeO
Squad for tonight... Nash, Howard, Turner, Neville, Hibbert, Yobo, Lescott, Rodwell, Duffy, Baines, Osman, Gosling, Pienaar, Cahill, Fellaini, Wallace, Baxter, Vaughan, Saha, Jo, Forshaw, Arnoux, Jutkiewicz, Agard. Not seen Forshaw in there before, is that a first?
Romey 1878
He's been on the bench the past two games Mike.
MikeO
He's been on the bench the past two games Mike. Oh right. Missed that .
Ian C
Arnoux but no Peterlin? Arnoux perhaps rated higher? Not a chance he'll get on though is there? Jo, Saha, Vaughan, Agard all ahead of him.
Romey 1878
I'm hoping Agard is given a start tbh, he's looked better than the other strikers behind Saha and Jo.
Ian C
I'm hoping Agard is given a start tbh, he's looked better than the other strikers behind Saha and Jo. How much of that is his presence against tired defences, though? Anichebe usually looks class once the strikers have worn the defences out
jamiemaher85
I have been impressed with Agard as well. He caused quite a few problems during his short time on the pitch during the Cov game. Did more in 5 minutes than Vaughn has done all pre-season.
Romey 1878
How much of that is his presence against tired defences, though? Which is why he needs a start, so we can find out.
jamiemaher85
Vaughn clealy is not doing it as a starting striker at the moment so it makes ense to at least give Agard a go at starting, either that or start Jo and Saha together as that it a more likely starting line-up that we could see throughout the season so we may as well get them playing together more. I'm all for starting Agard though and seeing how he can cut it. If we don't try then we'll never know.

chicagoblue
I'd be surprised if Jo starts this on. I think we'll see Saha and Cahill in a 4-5-1.
Romey 1878
Hopefully with Pienaar back he won't resort to playing a striker on the left-wing <_< .
jamiemaher85
It shows how weak the squad is that when Pienaar is out we had to resort to playing the likes of Fellaini on the wing. We despearly need to bring in more width to the team, and pace. Oh well.
rubecula
Any idea what kind of opposition we can expect from Malaga?
Ian C
Any idea what kind of opposition we can expect from Malaga? Finished 8th in La Liga, so if we perform like we did against Blackpool we're totally fucked

He can't supply Jo. In your line up I'd put Jo on the left side, Pienaar on the right and Saha as the striker.. Oh and I'd switch Cahill and Fellaini. Other than that, looks like a winning team to me!
jamiemaher85
My Line Up : -----------------Howard------------------- Neville---Yobo------------Lescott---Baines ----------Rodwell------Fellaini----------- --Saha-----------Cahill----------Pienaar-- -------------------JO--------------------- Not sure about Saha right side, i'd plump for Gosling there instead. However that does look a good team and IF we could invest in a even half decent right sided player then i'd feel fairly confident with that team, especailly with Yak, Arteta and Jags all coming back. jamiemaher85
He's been getting applause every time he touches the ball. Thats good. Goes to show how fucking stupid the press are, writing stories about how we would be on his back during this game. 1-0 Saha. Cracking play from Felli and Baines to start with.
