EVA
Billy Jones profile http://soccernet.espn.go.com/players/stats?id=38871&cc=4716 seems a defender according to ESPN.
EVA
Billy Jones profile 2005/06 GS: Games started, 42 SB: Used as Substitute, 1 G: Goals, 6 A: Assists, 3 SH: Shots, 31 SG: Shots on goal, 15 YC: Yellow Cards, 5 RC: Red Cards, 0 FC: Fouls Commited, 45 FS: Fouls Suffered, 43 Played nearly all league games for Crewe. 6 goals+3assists in 43 games is quite good for a defender/midfielder. His goal to shots ratio is 1:5, it's high (Compare Cahill 6 goals from 63 shots, ratio is 1:10). Seems a useful player in Champ league level. scouse
Very good promising youngster from all accounts product of the Crewe youth acadamy would be a welcome addition to our squad as can play across the back or in midfield

bluemonkey
He's one of the best young players in football manager, he can play all across the defence and in midfield. Hopefully we will make a bid this time, we already missed out on loads of youngsters from the championship so lets not do it again.
EVA
Jones: Latest star off Alex production lineGradi ready for fight to keep Jones Crewe boss Dario Gradi admits he would not be surprised to receive offers for Billy Jones after he was linked with both Everton and West Brom. The Alex, condemned to relegation earlier this month, saw scouts from Everton watch Jones' display in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff. The 19-year-old, also Crewe's top goal-scorer, is rated as the best talent to come through the ranks at Gresty Road for several seasons, but Toffees boss David Moyes faces a battle from West Brom for Jones' signature. And Gradi said: "I don't know if there's any truth to the rumours. "But if they've got any sense they'll all be looking at him."
Cloud
Yeh, he is surposed to be really good for his age! Hope we would take a look at him!
Louis
BJ has said he will be leaving Crewe on a bosman in the summer. Apparently we and Man city are in the chase for him but Dario Gradi want's some form of compensation if he leaves.
Romey 1878
He'd be getting compensation for him anyway, but he's looking to arrange it with the clubs himself instead of through a tribunal where Crewe would get considerably less. Bernie the Bolt
Billy Jones is a centre half by trade, my son played alongside him while at Crewe, very good player who has now been used in various positions by the manager. A good organiser, big strong lad, with the right attitude, i would take a chance on him.
Romey 1878
Same here mate. Seeing as Gradi thinks he can make it in the Premiership (which is a good indicator that you should be looking at a player), I think it would be worth getting this lad in. Especially as it would cost us peanuts.
Blue4Ever
Id have him but its where will he play?? i think he can play anywhere across the back and defensive midfield, wouldnt mind him here but if we had to pay for him anything over 2 million id laugh at and tell them to forget it as we need money for a winger, Fernandes and a striker which we will never get all 3 whilst kenright is at Everton the stingy twit!
