Louis
It seems the march/leafletting has been cancelled, I don't know whether the game will be moved back to the Saturday though? Apparently club offiicals were unhappy because they lost thousands of pounds in tv revenue due to the rescheduling: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/fe...-national-party Andy Burnham has said given his thoughts too: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/fe...rleague-everton
The Beard
The deputy leader stated that 'we are not big headed enough to think that we are bigger than football and don't wish to upset football fans so we have cancelled the march on the proposed date'. He also said that if the police can move the game once they can do so again. The cynic inside me thinks that this is a deliberate ploy to annoy the police on their behalf. do you think the match will be brought forward to its original date, after all setanta got that done for the Man Utd away game last month. Louis
I think the BNP cancelled because it would be bad PR to go ahead with it having cost the club tv revenue and also putting out 35,000+ people for travel arrangements.
