steviiebrown
Read from a few news outlets, that Anichebe told Moyes to f**** off after the deal with Hull City fell through.Unhappy with his game time especially after the injuries we have faced Anichebe apparently went to training all guns blazing. I hope this is just the media trying to make bullshit out of nothing, because the young lad seemed to be hitting some form. Thoughts ? Do you think it's fake or ? Sprooly
British tabloid The Sun reports that Everton manager David Moyes dismissed Victor Anichebe from a training session yesterday after the two became embroiled an obscenity-riddled row. The 20-year-old striker has become increasingly at Goodison Park during the course of the season, as he believes he has been unfairly overlooked for a first-team place. With Louis Saha, James Vaughan and Yakubu all injured, the young Nigerian expected to receive an extended run in the starting XI, but that has not been the case. Instead, Moyes has opted to use Tim Cahill up front, a role in which the diminutive Australian midfielder has undoubtedly flourished, leaving Anichebe to sit on the sidelines or fill a gap on the wing. Matters came to a head towards after the Toffees broke off negotiations with Hull City regarding a loan switch for the Lagos-born forward, who blames his boss for the deal's collapse. Thus, he was in a belligerent mood when he arrived at Finch Farm the day after the close of the transfer window, and after wrangling with the staff he proceeded to tell Moyes to 'f*** off'. An unnamed source said, “Victor was already very upset he hadn’t been starting matches. “It must have been the last straw when the deal failed to go through. He saw it as Everton who were stopping him from leaving. Refused “When he turned up for training he flatly refused to get changed and then had a huge row with assistant manager Steve Round. “The players were on the way out to training when Steve went to get David Moyes. “When he came in it all kicked off. They were swearing at each other and Victor told him to ‘f*** off’. “That’s when Moyes told him to leave and asked two members of the medical staff to make sure Victor left the premises.” This bombshell - given more ammunition by the arrival Brazilian striker Jo, on loan from Manchester City - is the last thing Everton need in the lead-up to their FA Cup replay with Merseyside rivals Liverpool. http://www.goal.com/en/news/734/everton/20...-moyes-to-f-off
Jimmy the blue
Vic is a big lad, he can use his weight but too often chooses to fall on his arse. I have never thought him to be a long term propect, his control and finishing power is simply not good enough, We have a few top notch Africans on our books which in itself is a huge problem every two years with the ACN matches but what did Vic do he opted to play for Nigeria, his legitimate choice but to my mind not a good career move as he has added to that problem. If these stories are true it seems that young Vic believes he is a better player than either Moyes or most pundits believe him to be, let him prove it on the park. For any player to react like he is reported to have done the manager should seek to discipline him, who knows it may just be a kick up the arse he needs. All this report has done is to convince me that Vic has no long term future at GP and could well be off in the summer, that would be a saving on wages. Everton_Worshiper
If true, then expect Vic to not even make the bench tonight. Secondly, if true then he can f**k off himself - no one tells the ginger ninja to f**k off.
The Beard
When he burst on the scene, the lad was like a raging bull, even remember a game against Chelsea, where we got beat at home 3-2 but throughout he hasled and muscled Terry and the defence to the brink of submission. so mucg so that when Drogba scored late on, he was brought back to man mark Victor for the last couple of minutes. However since then Victor doesn't seem to show the same desire and work rate. He scores nowhere enough goals for me and in my opinion appears to be one of them players who think they have made the real big time. I wouldn't lose any sleep if he left but disappointing to hear these stories of bust ups, if true. Adam
This seems to remind me of something happening like this a little while ago. I beleive we had trouble with strikers being injured and we only had 1 fit striker and ended up playing Steve Watson up front for some games. The striker that was fit didnt like it and soon left (cant remember his name - Madar maybe) If our strikers were fit would he be starting? I dont beleive so. I have always thought that he can do something for us from the bench but in my opinion not a regular starter. If had other cover would not have minded to much if had gone out to Hull but not with no strikers. I beleieve that if DM had got another couple in on load for strikers then maybe he would have gone to Hull
carlmc25
Very disappointing, it's now in the Echo - although they say some of it has been sensationalised. I think Anichebe's game has really come on this season, his touch isn't bad at all, he's good in the air, strong, pace etc etc he has all the attributes. Against Villa and the leage match against Liverpool he was awesome but then whenever he does start to put himself about he seems to pick up a knock and then he's injured or the next match he seems a little tentative as if he doesn't want to take a knock again. As far as I was aware he got injured during the Villa match which kept him out for a bit so I don't really know how he could've played much more since Yak got injured, that being said, I can understand his frustration that the likes of Saha and Yakubu (both had done little this season) were playing all the time ahead of him and now that they're injured Moyes is playing a midfielder ahead of him, it must damage his confidence a bit and make him start to get a little frustrated, then Moyes brings Jo in - Anichebe snaps. That being said, this isn't the way to go about proving he is good enough to play week in week out and Moyes must be fuming. The one thing that lets Anichebe down is his mentality. The papers seem to think this is a massive blow for the game tonight, I think it may be the opposite - we all know how Everton perform in adversity and Cahill may just go out tonight and show Anichebe why he's getting picked ahead of him. The players will pull together, they always do. COYB!

Seeing Jo signed should motivate him to work twice as hard and try create a dangerous tandem with Jo, both large boys would create huge match up problems in the air, and along with the flying fro and Cahill's nack to be in the right place at the right time. Pinaeer & Arteta can send the ball long and high for them to cause havock. Again I agree, I too hope that Cahill comes out all guns blazing again tonight and shatter another 'title' aspiration of Liverpool
MikeO
Dominic King in the Echo... What it is clear, though, is the overwhelming sense that Anichebe has let his manager, team-mates and supporters down on the eve of the most important fixture of the season. He has dismayed some of his colleagues with the attitude he has shown over the past month and has, on more than one occasion, let it be known that he wanted a move away from Goodison Park. ....stupid boy. We're the biggest/best club he'll ever get the chance to play for and he's blown it. Best rid.
DangerMouse
Never liked the lad... His attitude comes across on the pitch.....Lazy and arrogant.... I'm sure Moysie will not to do with the idiot.... Lets get rid.......
MikeO
If he's lucky he'll find his level and make a reasonable living in the lower leagues, like Jeffers, Jigsaw and Cadburymartini before him. Couple of good memories from last season's UEFA is all his Everton legacy will amount to.

I'm sure Moysie will not to do with the idiot.... Lets get rid....... i agree with that. For what i have seen in the last few times he has come on . He has not done anything. You have to urn your please but to me he is not even trying. If the ball does not come to his feet he leaves it. What kind of a player is that? aaron
I dont like the fact he has kicked off at moyes but if he starts tonight i hope there is no booing of him, lets get behind him and help him try and show moyes he was wrong to leave him out (not fucking likely like) but hopefully vic can show he was in the right by producing good performances from now till end of season. But come summer lets offer him to Man Shitty as they will sign anyone.
EFCfanatic
Really disapointed with all of this especially as its only a couple of hours before a big game. To me the Arsenal game epitomised to me how much Anichebe cares. All he had to do was hold the ball up and chase them down to the corners but was he arsed? Was he fcked. I'm exaclty the same age as him and if I had that blue shirt on me and run thru brick walls never mind chasing a ball I had a good chance of getting. Wouldn't lose sleep at all if he left. The squad tonight will reveal all. We have alredy denied to comment.
Randomness
BYE!! I was one of most staunch supporters when he first burst onto the scene, but this season he has been awful. the danger signs first appeared at the spurs game, when he came on for saha and covered less distance than when Yak had to walk off the pitch. he's had chances, he hasn't taken them! he can't complain. VDM just moved up a notch!!! The Hero From Zero is still on!
Guest efctaxi
Not even giving the matter a second thought . Moyes will do what I'm sure is right if something has happened , and it's probably nothing major . If the young lad has stepped out of line , then it's no big deal . We've all done it at some point and I'm sure it will soon be under the carpet . Must be frustrating for Vic having a midfielder play in his position , but such was the predicament at Everton . Romey 1878
What a tosser. The fact is when he's been given a chance he hasn't done enough to show that he's good enough to be our future centre forward. He shows flashes of what he can do and then fades pathetically into a whinging little baby on the pitch. Now he's showing he's a whinging baby off the pitch as well. He's a big time Charlie and I hope Moyes lets him rot for the rest of the season. In my eyes he was never going to be good enough anyway so I'm not that arsed about him not playing, but he's let the club down. This just shows that he wasn't right for our team, a team that prides itself on it's togetherness, something Vic clearly knows nothing about. gwladys
I agree with pretty everything said above about Chebes in that i think he's lazy, arrogant and shows nowhere near enough entusiasm when playing for us. However i can sort of undertand his complaint in that he feels he's a striker so when the other strikers are out he should be given a chance (which i know he has). My sympathy for the lad comes into play when you consider that he kicked off for not being allowed to move to Hull. It sounds like he's accepted that he won't be a first choice for everton even without any fit strikers so wants to move on to another club where his competition won't be as fierce. I just think he might have seen this as a chance for first team football and Moyes has refused this and wants him to play second fiddle to Cahill. I must stress that i don't think Moyes has done anything wrong in this, we need all the bodies we can muster at the moment good or dare i say it average players. Jimmy the blue
Seems to me that a few of you are getting a little carried away with nothing more than rumours Most have said 'if true' or something similar. The Echo tonight is full of it and they also suggest he will be shown the door in which case it is 'more than a rumour' taxi. That said I have suggested many times that Moyes failure to properly utilise some of the kids he continually puts on the bench may well back fire if they don't get a fair crack of the whip.........................I wonder what Rodwell, Gosling, Kissock and co actually think. Vic is a sulker. that seems clear, in which case he can go and sulk elsewhere mate
Bill
I have a bit of sypathy for Anichebe, Moyes is a super Manager but i sometimes thinks he makes some very unthoughtfull remarks, and i cant help feeling sorry for the players. It was a week ago that he said Cahill was doing such a good job as a striker that he might keep him doing it long term, how does this make Victor feel i'm not surprised he asked to leave after that. Another time (last season) he was telling everybody that when Lescott plays left back he's the best in the country, so again, how did that make Baines feel. I know Moyes can get the best out of a lot of players, but coming out with comments like that is bound to backfire sometime, and that can only do damage. There are ways to ask if you can leave Bill, telling the manager to f--- off is hugely recommended for an eventual transfer. TBH if we get KO tonight Vic will become surplus to requirements any way as Saha and Vaughan should be back over the next few weeks............ I agree that Moyes comments can lack sensitivity at times, bloody good job Vic doesn't have Rafa as a boss
MikeO
“I don’t want to speak about anything that goes on at the training ground but I will say that I was not verbally abusive to the manager.” “The report that was in a newspaper this morning was not right. I didn’t row with Steve Round and wasn’t escorted from Finch Farm by members of the medical staff." “I have got great respect for the manager, the coaches, all my team-mates and the supporters and I am embarrassed by the report this morning." “I’m an Everton player and am proud to be. I want to put this behind me and move on again.
