msloan78
Bollocks to £3.5m. Worth a wee bit more considering the prices bandied about atm. Would like him to stay either way.
Avinalaff
It's a great opportunity for him. I can see it being a goer if they raise their bid a bit to maybe 5-6. Steve_E and Quinn31
Quinn31
I'd let him go for 5-6m. I appreciate Vic's effort and increase in workrate last year, it really upped my opinion of him. But he'll never be in the starting 11 here without injury (or at least he shouldn't be our best striker in an ideal situation), so if the offer is right, I'd let him go. Hafnia
£6m - go on then. A few add ons thrown in also. Get the £6m and go for Defoe - or add a few million and go for someone who I have no idea of but will score goals for us...

Romey 1878
Think that's a tad unfair, they are different types of player. I rate Long. They're both hard workers who don't do enough of what they're paid to do - score goals. Granted, Long is a bit better at that aspect than Doyle but he would cost far more than what a player like him should cost.
bluenosetoffee
I don't want Anichebe to go. I like the lad and think if we played him more would be a good player. Played well at the end of the season as well...

Played well at the end of the season as well... He's the striker version of Fellaini. He has games where you think "wow - please do that next week", then the next week you think "seriously get of the pitch you sulky petulent man" Need consistency, good attitude and discipline to succeed under martinez. I dont think Vic has the movement, nor concentration required for RM's way of playing.
Pearso
If he leaves he'll end up one of the best strikers in the league, mark my words. I'm up to like 2019 in FIFA, playing in La Liga and he's top goal scorer every single year. Wouldn't mind Defoe though, as someone said above. If he learns how to control a ball, not fall over, slap the ground, look up and play a pass, not blast the ball over the bar and be able to jump and head it - then I agree, he will be a great striker. As it happens, these things haven't improved in a good 5 years. Matt, thoward18 and Romey 1878
JoeQuince
I like Vic, and I've always wanted to see him succeed here, but if we get £5-6m for him, then that's amazing business. If that £5-6m allows us to get another midfielder we've had our eye on, then even better! We certainly aren't thin at striker (in terms of numbers), but we are definitely lacking badly in midfield.
