Guest efctaxi
On our official site under the paper talk section, it says hull are going to try and push through a deal today. Anybody heard anything else about this. It has only come from the Daily Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...15875-21093667/ Maybe it would be better business for us in the summer . Not a good time to give away a striker , and can't see Hull offering big money .

dmac
lets hope not, jo might be a 20mil striker but he needs to prove himself so there's no way we can get rid of the only other forward we have, even if he's not the best goalscorer. :suicide_anim:
StevO
does he need a lift?
holystove
i don't see the problem either ... now with Jo (who can't be less of a threat than Anichebe), victor won't get any playing time at all. Moyes had said he needed to prove himself .. with Yak, Saha and Vaughan out, this was his time, and he couldn't even make the team .. we rather played 1-4-6. Churinga2
I think we need to keep him here, now we finally have 2 fit strikers ( wich isn't quite a big luxery), I think it would be rather dumb to let one go. Ok, we are doing terrific without him, but with him we have option if for example cahill gets injured.
adamsmith69
We all know Big Vic Anichebe isn't the most talented footballer, but to get rid of him at this point of time would be stupid. Maybe at the end of the season he can go on his merry way, but for now we need all the players we can get. He is no doubt a better option from the bench at this point than the promising Jose Baxter etc
Romey 1878
If our other strikers had been fit I'd have taken him there myself.
StevO
If our other strikers had been fit I'd have taken him there myself. even if our other strikers were shot dead by terrorists i'd still take him there, and i wouldn't stop the car, just push him out of the door at the KC

adamsmith69
According to the sun, Big Vic told moyes to f**k off yesterday and was took away from training. It looks as though the end is night for Big Vic. I have heard rumours about him before having a bad attitude. So IMO he can do one at the end of the season. I think we could get a few mill for him
scouse
Yeah was in the Echo about him asking to go to Hull on loan, Moyes told hijm politely no as he could not bring in replacements etc... then Vic turns up for training saying he was injured and Moyes sent him home. Guest efctaxi
Slightly off topic....do people actually do this? Get a taxi, get to where they are going and then leg it??? I've been lucky so far with runners , though it does happen . It happens quite often with fares to a certain area too , but I'll not name the area so as not to offend anyone who lives there . Been attacked once or twice but still breathing

EFC-Paul
I think he will be far more suited to the Championship as thats more his level he is a poor mans Heskey and thats no complement. Edited June 8, 2009 by EFC-Paul
Guest efctaxi
And have him embarrass himself? Don't be cruel to the lad Taxi We would at least see what he can offer in the Prem with a full season under his belt .
Romey 1878
We would at least see what he can offer in the Prem with a full season under his belt . Who'd take him though? Established Premiership sides wouldn't be stupid enough and the promoted sides probably have better strikers than him anyway. The only move he could make is down IMO. Bill
Should maybe send him to Newcastle. If Shearer gets the Job he could teach him a few things.

He's not as bad as some here give him credit for . A good run in the prem and he would score at least 2 goals a season . Any team outside of the top 7 would be interested in him , especially on a loan spell surely .
