The Regulator
http://www.grandoldteam.com/news/general-news/2011/jun/13/cahill-speaks-to-grandoldteam GOT: Who, in your opinion, is the most talented footballer you´ve ever worked with? Tim: Ross Barkley at Everton is a special talent. He has been unlucky this season with his injury but he is an immense player with a great attitude to football. He is so mature for his age and I think he is going to be a massive asset to Everton and [the city] Liverpool in years to come. I have been lucky enough to have played with some great players in my career but I do not think I have ever seen a talent like Ross.

adamsmith69
I am looking forward to seeing a bit of Barkley, apparently in Carraghers testimonial (i know it was only a testi) he ran the show. I think we may have a diamond on our books, so 2 seasons untill he is off to Man Utd
MikeO
....so 2 seasons untill he is off to Man Utd Rooney apart, who have we sold to United?
adamsmith69
Rooney apart, who have we sold to United? Woops, i shoulda said linked to UTD. I do think Rodwell will end up there though, maybe next season.
scouse
Utd aside lets be honest when the big boys come knocking we dont have much hope of holding on to players.
flaminfox
http://www.youtube.c...feature=related At 7:06 you get to see a bit of Barkley's skill http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-b2iYR6Ub00#t=426s
Everton_Worshiper
I hear that not only will Barkley be getting game time this season, but Hallam Hope is also in line to make the step up. Hope (no pun intended) to see him in pre-season, he certainly scores for fun for England.
adamsmith69
i hope so, they both seem to get good reviews, how about Lundstrem?
LexKing
It would be just a fantastic news for whole team, if Barkley and Hope could be even near that talent what has been said. And that they could get run on season aswell, not just training matches before season, and then again our regulars start games and fuck our season beginning is wasted , yet again Edited June 20, 2011 by LexKing
Everton_Worshiper
No doubt Barkley has talent, but will he be thinking twice about going hard in to tackles knowing what his leg went through? (I know I would). Personally, I am more excited about Hope. He has such an eye for goal (luckily seen a few of his games) and has something like 10 goals in 12 England games. smeghead1
Didnt Hope score in the u17 world cup last night? Its great we have some talented kids coming thru i hope and pray we keep hold of them! Its shite we appear to flog any half decent prospect! Louis
Prospect? Dunne, Jeffers and McCann are all I can think of.. no one under Moyes aside from Rooney. There's a world of a difference between linking and selling
