jamiemaher85
What are people's views on Assasins Creed? Never played it and i'm thinking of getting a new game and this is one i've looked and would be on the cheap.

Ian C
Any recommendations for a cheap MMORPG? Avoid them at all costs for the moment. The genre is completely stuck in a rut. Only shimmer of hope left is BioWare's The Old Republic, but that's got another year+ til release.
Sporting4ever
Any recommendations for a cheap MMORPG? No such thing. Even if they're free to play, they still cost loads of time. I have a world of warcraft account and haven't touched it in over 6 months, cuz' the time they take keeps getting longer and longer. Bioware's new "The Old Republic" does indeed look promising, as does "Stargate Worlds", but in terms of cost, there's tons of them that you don't have to pay, but don't expect much in terms of content. An MMO needs to provide alternatives and most of all, have a decent community so that players are motivated to start AND continue playing. And there's only one MMO out there that garantees that, and that's wow. If you don't want to pay for it, there's loads of "private" servers where you can play the game for free. You might try one of them out, just for fun, but it's nowhere near the same as the official one.

CaptainFerguson10
Played two demo's recently, Ashes cricket and Batman Arkham Asylum. Ashes was wooden and slow, Batman got me rather excited but did remind me of a poor mans Chronicles of Riddick.

CaptainFerguson10
Speaking of Doom, let me present (again for self vanity) my arcade top games games of all time. Arcade games meaning games that came to the arcades long before consoles were invented: 10 - Afterburner (still remember that giant chair) 9 - Marvel vs Capcom 8 - Ikaruga (many coins were lost in that machine) 7 - Altered Beast 6 - Outrun 5 - Time Crisis 4 - World Cup '90 (got to the semi final, so close on one credit) 3 - Space Harrier 2 - Soul Calibur 1 - Street Fighter 2 New Zealand story narrowly misses out, was a favourite on my C64 though! Loved new zealand story but not as much as Wonder Boy. Your number 4 (World Cup 90) is that with the ball or with the joy stick? Cant beleive you not got Double Dragon on there or TMNT
CaptainFerguson10
I was debating between TMNT and Space Harrier, but Harrier won it as it still holds special memory's. Double Dragon was too naff, Streets of Rage was much better.
Adpom
Double Dragon and TMNT rocked. Can anyone remember the name of the game, where you could be Freddy Kruger, was an arcade game about 20 years ago. Like streets of rage
Lowensda
Fuck. Streets of rage aswel, i think mine will have to be a top 20 next!? inc Soul Calibre, Tekkan, Altered Beast...i forgot those aswell!!

aaron
In no order these would be my best: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (n64) Goldeneye (n64) Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360) Star Wars: Dark Forces (ps1) Half Life 2 + episodes (orange box, 360) Championship Manager 01/02 (pc) Time crisis (ps1) Sonic Adventure (dreamcast) Mario 64 (n64) Pokemon Red version (gameboy)
Churinga2
I'm not going to make a top10, because of to time consuming. But the best game imo is GTA Vice City, i can still spend hours driving around, with the 80's music blasting out Gameplay was far from revolutionary, but it's the athmosphere in the city that makes the game so good for me honourable mentions: Dragon Quest VIII-ps2 MGS3-ps2 Mr. Nuts-GameBoy (my first electronic game)
