Neil S
The rumours coming out of newcastle are that we are set to move for Michael Owen, as we as Alan smith. Apparently DM has made Owen his no 1 target and the only stumbling block could be his wages
Romey 1878
£120K worth of wages Never. Going. To. Happen.
IrbyJFC
if we get owen i will eat my hat....
jamiemaher85
Can't see it happening. If he turned down 120k there why would he accept lower wages here? Not going to happen....ever
Jimmy the blue
At present Owen could buy us, no chance

Forever ton
look no futher than s. appiah solid an can pass the ball also in are price range WTF has s.appiah got to do with Owen being able to buy EFC?
aaron
owen recently dropped from england squad, not been a regular in it while at newcastle. Maybe he sees everton as a way to get back in the international frame, possiblity and I for one would love this transfer to come off even if its as likely as gerrard not diving in a match. Romey 1878
There's no point buying strikers when we have no midfield to create for them
aaron
True mark, very true. Sign Owen still!!!!
eddie blue
we need midfield players ffs
Louis
If Owen did sign, he would be richer than our chairman, that can't be right.
bluegender_2k
i don't think we would need both players but owen, saha, yak and smith if we can keep at least 2 fit at a time i think they could bring a lot of goals
EFCfanatic
Can't see this happening as his arse is probably still sore after King Kev licking it so much.
StevO
If Owen did sign, he would be richer than our chairman, that can't be right. you not think we already have players richer than him?
GMONEYone
OWEN would be a fantastic signing and would score loads of goals. I WOULD LOVE IT JUST LOVE IT if we got him!!!! Dream over- we could not even afford a days wage for him at the moment, regardless if he isnt happy, wants football to get back in international set up, or even if we were his dream move - he isnt gonna drop to the £50k-£60k maximum we can pay. Teams below us would even pay him twice that!!!! NO CHANCE OF THIS HAPPENING
blueblood
We'll have an offer for him accepted and then he'll fail to agree personal terms when we offer him £10k per week. This will be at 11:59pm and will be too late to bring anyone else in. Another player that is too injury prone and passed his best. Does DM think our physio isn't pulling his weight or something with the latest transfers?!?!?! Between Saha, Owen, Smith and Cahill he'll be working his nuts off!!!!!
