I agree, the British Empire did good as well as bad, not just infrastructure, civil service, education, stability, it also in later years helped stamp out the slave trade. It did all that at a terrible cost to the cultures and peoples it exploited and dominated. Like all empires.
Its never truly black and white, except perhaps the Nazi's, Poll Pott, Stalinism, and a few others.

Your are literally talking about ancient history, and lets not forget, there was no single Celtic nation, it was a series of tribes who fought each other as much as the English. The Bruce invaded Ireland and inflicted great suffering on his fellow Celts in Ireland.

Honestly, I don't believe the English understand the effects of their actions through the years. When you crush other cultures rather than respect them, especially those Celtic cultures right alongside you, don't be surprised when it leads to long-lasting resentment. (I don't expect a positive reception to these comments, but they're true nonetheless. Just listen carefully to the Scots, the Welsh, the Irish, etc. Thankfully, these days, we mostly confine our feelings to the sports field.)

Im English, all of my great grandparents were Irish. So I don’t know if I should be angry at myself for what my country did to my ancestors.

I’ve not seen much of him, but his numbers alone in a poor team show he’s an upgrade on Demarai and Andros. 
 
9 goals in 26 for Burnley is outstanding. 
He’s also scored a few goals in the champions league.

Bloomin good player.  Very direct, similar style to st maximum, made me very nervous when he was on the ball towards end of last season.

Pickford came from a delegated team, Ramsdale also to Arsenal, a team gets relegated not individual players, the skill is picking the diamonds, the two I’ve mentioned fall in to that catagory.

There is a long list of quality players that were relegated, if their team goes down it doesn’t suddenly make them bad players
We are on a tight budget and prising players away from relegated sides is a lot easier/cheaper than getting them from Premiership rivals

We heard the same about Jags too. Just seems that some people think being a tough guy or a shithouse qualifies as leadership and makes a good captain. It's embarrassing.
