With so many "let's all laugh at Everton" comments especially on BBC HYS - I'd love for this lad to have a worldie and shut everyone up. 
 
So many people look at stats to justify a player's worth it's ridiculous. How many assists would Son have got for Burnley last year, I can't imagine it'd be much more! 

Surely if we are letting Simms go out on loan we are confident of bringing at least one striker in?

I’m a complex individual. 

Despite losing Richarlison, which hurts - I think we’ve built a better squad so far with more depth. We’ve lost a quality player so we really need someone to step up, I’m hoping this is Gordon’s real break out year for goals & assists to fill the  Richarlison size void.

I'm not too salty at this signing, when the chips are down I think he'll add some flavour to the team. 💨

Well if getting a £40m centre half for free and a player they wanted £25m for last year for less than that is compensation …. Bring it on.

If there's a choice between an over-paid, injury prone nice guy or a consisently average but frustrating player, I'd be selling the former.

Yep cornet missed a sitter. McNeil changed the game and they probably would have survived if they got him on sooner. 

There are some surprisingly good names in that list! 
I remember him coming on late in a game, might have been against Norwich but dont quote me on that, and he played two great balls, one of which should have been a tap in assist for Cornet but he missed!

Good video, for me he looks like a similar type of player to Kevin Kilbane. Good size, defensively disciplined, but with work on his decision making he could be a far better player. Could play on the left of a 3 central midfielders too.
at 22 loads of scope for improvement.  

Mad that a lot of our fans complain about Gordon having no end product despite being younger and less experienced than McNeil, but are jumping on this as a great signing.

By all accounts dyche had lost the squad, so it could be that a player like this lad struggled under his tactics.  A bit like a load of ours under fat Sam 

You add McNeil to the likes of Patterson, Gordon, Godfrey and Mykolenko (20-24) and even alongside Holgate, DCL, Alli, Grey, Iwobi (25-26) - average age of our squad is beginning to come right down. 
You add defensive midfielder to this lot and we could put out a very reasonable team of outfield players 26 or younger. 
OK, first game of the season you would swap out one or two for more senior players, However, this is a squad you can develop and build on over the next 2-3 years. 

His last PL goal came against us so at least his next one can't come against us.
